I am fourteen and I inspire on becoming a commercial pilot, no matter what I have to do to become one, I will do it, no matter how long it will take me to become one, I will wait, I simply cannot see myself not being a pilot, it is my dream.
Can you give me any advice such as grades and routes of becoming a pilot?
" A day on the office" Stop bragging! Nah you earned it good for you. Man this was my dream since I was 6 but the Doctor told me I can't even get a class three let alon a class one. Good for you have fun happy flying.
@mk999kh1 It cost's a lot yes. The ideal way is through the Air Force, that way you get paid to do your training as suppose to paying ten's of thousands; many pilot's chose this option, and once they leave the Air Force airline's basically snap them up in an instant. I was not lucky enough to succeed through that path, so I am paying through the nose to fulfill my dream. All theory and flight hours to achieve commercial license roughly $80 000 AUD with no job guaranteed
@diablovt108vt109 I'm actually really keen to go the military way. But I need to become a citizen first and the fact that i wear glasses, i don't think military would let me. Good luck with you. I have mine interview with flying school in about a month time.
I don't mean to bust the joy around here, but aren't we suppose to "have all electronics turned off during T/O and Landings" I know because I've gotten yelled at by many flight attendants because I'm always trying to record while t/o or landing. Besides this technicallity, nice video.
@bingollu1000 Is that what you care about you idiot? Cleary you just want to do this for the glamour and to show off in the uniform...do us a favor, dont do it...
@amair4u yes i was just curious to see how society sees pilots as. Pilots hold around 100 lives in their hands every day and i believe they should be near as important as doctors for example. This is just my opinion.
@bingollu1000 Being a pilot is not easy, and given the terrible Pay they get you really need to be dedicated but it is no doctor by any means. If pilots went to 8 years of school, with another 3 years of training after that, and had to be the smartest of the smartest out there. They don't. Lots of people have the "ability" to become pilots they just do not want to. Pilots are very skilled, professional people but you can't compare a pilot to a doctor
@bingollu1000 Well, I think that people do hold a high opinion of pilots. I mean, whenever I hear someone say that they are a pilot, everyone thinks that it is just the coolest thing.
@bingollu1000 For a pilots view of that I would suggest the book "Highest Duty" It was written by Captain Sullenburger (I hope you know this but the guy who landed Flight 1549 in the Hudson). FYI the 3 year anniversary was 2 days ago if I remember right.
I really like that landing from 3:59.Its sush a professional landing and hats off to these pilots who pull off such beautiful landings with so much of accuracy.I personaly have been in a few landings where the pilots had to land in cross winds, and then in a few table top landings as well.People think that being a pilot is a joke, but its a tough art friends, which involves tough work and determination!!!
waooooo its cool i m practicing now to become a pilot by under standing the machines and i also play flight simulator x to know where then certain switches is located.:D
@dhirize yes but you wont always get the plane your expecting to fly, i also have flight sim x and practice flying all types of aircraft such as: 747,757,a320, a330,a340, small aircraft too.
I do this because you never know what aircraft your going to get, so practice with every aircraft as much as you can. also default flight sim x aircraft have alot of things missing.
Your only hope - unless you are a millionaire - is to get flight training in the military. That means four years of college with a degree first, then you go in as an officer. Build time in heavy jet transports.
@akturksener123 not at all im my opinion. There are hundreds of other schools out there that cost 1/4 of the price and you can still get your bachelors in aeronautical science, or any other field for that matter. I am currently at a state school in texas working on my ratings. ER is incredibly overrated. Yes, its a great school, but the costs are not worth it in any way. Where are you located?
@aobt1407 in menifee california and im 21 years old and i want to fly for jetblue what are the steps for me to start? after i get general ed at a community college?
@akturksener123 get a bachelors degree in something (either flying or not, people recommend degree in fields other than aviation as a backup) as this will be required by most major airlines...also start flying, you can check you local fbo at an airport near where you are (just google flight training). A huge hiring boom has been predicted, but as cyclical as this industry is you never know.
@akturksener123 ....go to school.....yes.....yes.....simply google it...i am not familiar with the california area but check and see if your local community college has an aviation program. Many do, and it is a cheap way to build your time as well a getting quality instruction, generally from professors that are not there just for the money. Then you can transfer to a 4 year school while instructing to build time.
@aobt1407 thankyou! so much for your help! im asking jetblue pilots on facebook for info to any pilots really, but thanks alot for your help god bless and a happy thanksgiving to you.
Haha, easiest way to become a pilot is with Air Cadets. My brother joined when he was 12 and hated it. But he got the free flying scholarship.. Now he is a F/O with West Jet on the 737 and he's 24. He's also done a lot of great exchange programs with Cadets.
it would be nice to be a pilot if you lived locally and close to the airport from where you worked out of. I have heard that some american domestic pilots have 2 or 3 hour flights to their home location after they have finished work. that must be quite knackering.
This is excellent. I've been on so many birds in my life and got to ride in the cockpit when I was a kid and it's so sad that I can't visit the cockpit anymore. I value what pilots do to such an incredible degree. My dad was an ATC in the USN and I used to sit on the tarmac at the bottom of the tower as a child waiting for my Dad's shift to end. I got to see some incredible jets. Thank you for being pilots!
@nintendoDShow2s i've got a pilot scholarship off TAG (business airline) currently under going getting my private pilot licence. i am quite close to the people in the farnborough based TAG and i have left a hint i wanna fly jets for them, and are putting my name doing and passing it up. Hope i get it! ha
These guys don't really make a lot of money but being able to fly around and getting to se things that lot of people get to see but they really only get like 80,000 to 100,000 a year
@thejadenjack@thejadenjack Actually the US Department of Labor says that the middle 50% commercial airline pilots make 80,000-150,000 annual, and the top 5% make 185,000-215,00 dollars yearly. Also, a senior caption of a Boing 747-400 for Delta makes 215,000 yearly. Not to be augmentative, I just though I'd clarify that so that students considering aeronautics as a career path won't be discouraged by your post. ww w.bls.gov/oco/ocos107.htm -see for yourself. :)
@bikerrylan79 Then there's us CRJ guys who are lucky to clear 30k... wages are very misleading... those guys making 100+ have been in the company for 10+ years
@thejadenjack Oh and by the way I broke the link so that I could post it. simply use the space bar to connect the ww w. Then just scroll down to earnings to see what I'm talking about.
Hi guys, i wanna be a pilot badly, but the country i come from, which is cambodia, does not offer a school that teaches people to be a pilot. I studied in Singapore, so my english is fine. I am just wondering where i can get a cert? Do i have to go to america to obtain one? Does american school flight accept foreigners?
@502502 try Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, Florida, USA. They also have schools in Europe and I think in Singapore. I'm going to Embry-Riddle in 4 years because I want to become a pilot as well. I am currently getting trained in a Cessna 152.

@drummerboy5192 I am 14 years old and am a sophomore in high school. I live in NJ and I am getting lessons at Eagles View Aviation flight school, Belmar-Farmingdale, NJ. For a half-hour lesson, it's $75. But for a full-hour, it's $150. I take the full hour classes(I am not rich, I am in the middle class, so it's kind of hard.) My next lesson is on the 17th of August at 12:00pm and I am turning 15 on the 21st. Generally, ERAU considers your test scores and grades.
@drummerboy5192 There is a program called ATP where you can get your training and fly for the airlines at age 18. But, I would like a better education so ERAU it is. I really would like to fly for Delta Airlines. PM me and I will help you out more, I will be glad to. Thanks and good luck.
@USAirwaysPilotA330 haha same here. I live in Canada though and if I do well in the aviation course here I could get sent to embry riddle!. It's very expensive though.
to fly a plane like those one (commercial plane), you have to spent like more than 50k dollars to have the licence... and you also need like a fews thounsand hours of experience!
@checkfinal True but think of it this way, would you want to get on a plane knowing that your pilot got a free ride and had only a few hours? I'm training to be a pilot now and I was never able to understand this either, but now I realize that it takes a lot of practice and experience to truly be a good pilot, worthy of being responsible for hundreds of peoples lives.

@THExGOODxLIFE307 I agree, it is very expensive. Still, that will not stop me from going there and making my dream come true!

Its expensive to become a pilot :(
to fly a plane like those one (commercial plane), you have to spent like more than 50k dollars to have the licence... and you also need like a fews thounsand hours of experience!
checkfinal 1 year ago
@checkfinal True but think of it this way, would you want to get on a plane knowing that your pilot got a free ride and had only a few hours? I'm training to be a pilot now and I was never able to understand this either, but now I realize that it takes a lot of practice and experience to truly be a good pilot, worthy of being responsible for hundreds of peoples lives.

Dear All,
I have some questions about psychology:
(1) Why do we enjoy to hear the high pitch noise of jet engines?
(2) Why do we love commercial flying?
(3) Why do many of us want to be pilot?
(4) What is the reason behind that less females want to be pilot than males?
THANK YOU IN ADVANCE for your creative ideas and brainstorm!!! :)

@aceAVIATOR182 Looking at the pneumatic panel. it IS a 757 :) Either -200 or -300 as you say.
skydive911 9 months ago
@aceAVIATOR182 I believe that is a 200, the 300 is quite a bit longer if I remember correctly.
