  • I think you need to soak the noodles first so they become pliable.

  • do u boil the rice noodles first, or you just soak it in water?

  • Just made it today, oh boy, so delicious. Thank you so much!

  • Thank you so much for sharing. My tongue is stuck to the carpet.

  • It looks very good.

  • Pad Thai is my favorite food in the world!

  • great job! im going to make it now

  • @memichayz There is something wrong with your logic. Just because I happen to be from the "states" doesn't discredit my knowledge of Thai cooking. I happen to be very proficient in Cambodian cuisine and I like to learn about how the Thai cook similar dishes. I learned how to make Pad Thai from a good friend of my mine who happens to be Thai...I just couldn't remember how to make the sauce.

  • @memichayz :-Sawatdee Kha and Khob Khun Mai Kha. Have a very pleasant day. Ma'am

  • At my resturant i work at they get the noodles soft first before they mix it. Still taste GREAT!

  • Excellent video, thank you for sharing. Do you ever use fish sauce?

  • Thank you for sharing the recipe. I love the way you made the sauce first. I want to learn that very important recipe to make a successful Pad Thai.

  • sawatdee kha thank you for the recipe. i live in bangkok and i love to eat thai food....humm delicious pad thai

  • no no no this looks really wrong...it looks like mush. Who would fry the egg before the garlic? soak the noodles. what is the sauce made of? thats the part I'm never sure of but thats the part that is so important. I use tamarind paste, fish sauce, sugar and lime...but someone told me about peanut sauce. I don't get it because you throw in peanuts near the end.

  • @TheBopha20 People have different ways of cooking. Pad thai can be SOOOO versatile . There is no "ONE WAY" to make Pad thai. She also has a video on how to make the sauce :D. As for the ingrediants you used for the sauce, its perfectly fine. I would omit the lime but peanut sauce is not nessecary imo. But everyone has their way of making it :) Hope this helps.

  • I'm Thai and I can honestly say that this lady did it the right way. This is how Pad Thai actually looks like. Westernized Pad Thai looks orange because they add paprika for color and is only for presentation. If you want the real one, This is it!

  • I'm so glad I found this recipe...I've been craving pad thai and the restaurant I usually get mine from makes theirs with this "green type pepper" that is incredibly bitter and tends to ruin it for me. I'm gonna make this recipe and enjoy the heck out of myself, LOL. Thanks!

  • In thailand we use fresh noodle but if you use dry noodle soak them first with warm water 5-10 mins before you use it in your pan fried. Also it's look like u been used fresh tofu too! I suggest people should deep fried the tofu first to make this right padthai.

  • Honestly, I'm not trying to be rude, but your Padthai doesn't look very eatable. I'd suggest people who are watching this VDO to first put the dry noodle that she used in a warm water to soften it, NEVER put the noodle dry like that ! and ONLY put the tofu only at the very end or you will smash it all like her.

  • THX YOU.. I'm gonna cook this tomorrow..hahaha this whole weeks I'm thinking about fried noodles..

  • I love it !

  • @Matt102585 LOL

  • What is the ingredient for pad thai sauce?

  • Pad Thai wit trimp! Very ghetto...

    LOL

Just kidding. :) I have accent too. Good video!

  • Pad thai is my favourite thai food.

  • Very Nice. I tried this and it was good. Thank You

  • THANKS. It really works. Nice and Tasty

  • BrianEaZy was right. The noodles were too dry. They needed to be soaked in COLD water until soft. Adding water when cooking or " steam cook" will make them get too soft and break, especially with low temperature cook. If the tamarine paste will make the sauce looks too dark and your padthai looks unpresentable, you can just leave it alone. I didn't mean to against you. But so doubtful if you had restaurant experience.

  • Maybe you have never seen steaming of rice noodles, you can just add them like she did and they steam cook. Peace.

  • If you weren't so busy being ignorant, you can see that she shows you how to make the sauce in a previous video.

  • Aroi! Thank you for the recipe.

Pad thai has as many variations as there are people making it. The version I learned from my Thai wife's mother includes Chinese chives, dried shrimp and sweet pickled turnips. Also, the noodles are the larger kind (sen lek), soaked for a few minutes in hot water to soften them before adding to wok.

  • Hi Tritisan: Thank you very much. You're right, Pad Thai has so many variations. Enjoy and Have a great weekend.

  • Pad Thai is my favourite, this looks awesome

  • looks amazing, thanks!

  • This is TRUE Pad Thai. What you usually eat is Westernized Pad Thai, to look good on the eyes. Much like most of America, appearance is everything.

Shows how shallow you are, really. :)

  • i'm british, not american. and i have lived in thailand, and this doesnt look right.

so how much time have you spent their??

  • LOL. I've lived in Thailand my whole life, since I was born, 16 years.

My dad is British and my mum is Thai... This is how Pad Thai is supposed to look like. You should know, if you've been to Thailand. Go to any street shop, or any top restaurant, and you'll see Pad Thai is not meant for aesthetics. It is meant for taste and smell.

And your English is rather attrocious if I do say so myself. You continuously make errors, such as 'there versus their'. Learn English before you criticize.
