See kids... Do you see pants on the ground? Do you see butt cracks or the tops of boxer shorts hanging out? NOOO... Now, do you really think he had any problems getting girls?? Do you think he couldn't hold his own when hangin with his homies? NOOO.... Think he wasn't a bad dude? One of the baddest!
when I played this for my friends for the first time on tape they were like What plz...
ya but they figured it out straight east coast deep beat rap gotta love ne one that wants to speak over your speakers whilst still trying to blow them out <3 love it
I am from the same location in the Bronx as this man, I am more or less of the same age as him. I love HIP-HOP, and I get into the DNA of it..I love the song as most you who love Old-School Hip-Hop do as well. But there's something that you should all know. That infamous shout out that KRS-ONE does to remember Scott La Rock is all due to THIS MAN "D-Nice" & his inability to handle beef on his own. Even Just-Ice when asked admits this is too hard a story to tell. Great song, bad decision making.
didnt D Nice wind up doin a bid upstate? anywayz he has a channel on here now givin insight on sum classic ol skool hip hop artist & their biggest hits..check him out
you really dont know shit to think nas stole d-nice's style!!!@ginohaskins listen sometimes niggas vibe the same or have some similarities....we are human and have things in common yunno.. were not all so totally different from each other...but reall nas aint bit shit from d-nice
LOL first of all WISE-ASS u need to mind ur business "DIS" is about DIS song so FUCK-OFF!!! i can express tha way i want!! get a fuckin life ass- hole :)
WHAT ??? first of all u cocky sob u know nothing about me i am very educated.and i can spell very well .this is called which u so called educated ppl, freedom of expression.i can express myself the way i want .and as far as what ppl say about my self expression all i have to say to YOU i dont know dont care to know u: SO LOSER GET LOST!!!!
I'd like to hear some people's opinions as to why D-Nice didn't blow up. Not that any of the other folks from BDP really had successful careers outside of the group with the exception of KRS-One (a god, all respect due, outside of Kool Herc probably the second most influential person in Hip Hop, but he's on some serious bullsh*t of late. You are a major voice in Hip Hop, not THE voice of Hip Hop). Anyway, I thought D-Nice had decent production and above-average word-play, so what happened?
This is just my opinion, but i think he lacked a marketable persona. He was basically a clean slate. KRS was more direct about who he was. Everyone else was just kind of there. 25 to Life is still one of my favorites from him but I still feel that was the issue.
In my opinion, He never blew up because of the death of DJ Scott La Rock. I read somewhere that Scott La Rock got killed over taking up for Mr D-Nice, who got into a jam over a chick.
That's why I'm always like "mind your business, dats all, just mind-jo-bidness!"
@templetr Grandmaster Melle Mel is the 2nd outside Kool HERC in terms of the most influential in hip hop but KRS is up in the top ranked. This is just my opinion, but i think he lacked a marketable persona. He was basically a clean slate. KRS was more direct about who he was. Everyone else was just kind of there. 25 to Life is still one of my favorites from him but I still feel that was the issue.
