Excellent songwriter, original and interesting rhythmic syncopation. Tricky licks, great blues feel and played from the heart. Didn't worry about perfect technique and still smoked everyone.

They still rock. I saw them 6/3/79 at N.C. State. DLR said it was being taped for a live LP, still waiting. DLR was hit by a bottle & asked to have that M/F sent to the stage to kick his ass as a special treat, didn't happen. Despite that, if you weren't there, you missed something cause so much was not saved on film for those not yet born. Be glad there are some older bands still around that tour & sound worth a damn, so many crashed & burned. Enjoy them today, tomorrow they may be gone-JW

I saw them last night at Nassau Coliseum, NY, OMG... I've waited forever for DLR to return, He is Van Halen, Amazing Vocal's, he's still got it & some. What a true showman. You can tell they're happy to be back together, they all complement each other. Awesome Drum solo Alex!!, Eddie your the epitome of Guitar solo's, Wolfgang, good luck in your career, It's grueling, but worth it every show. You did your Father proud.
First show on the tour. Saw this show in Cleveland-sober. Very impressed...and I'm a Hagar fan. I encourage you to youtube newer versions of this live. This was a great sounding show. Don't judge this show by one song on one night. Every band can be put down by those standards.

Listen to The Eagles if you want to hear a band that still sound great! Shredding guitar licks is much easier than keeping up the vocal end. Time takes it's toll on vocal chords. I flew in from Dallas to see this concert. Greenville may not be the most exciting town but the crowd was awesome. This could be the greatest concert I've seen in 20 years. Only Zeppelin could compete...

David Lee Roth sounds way better here than he did in 83 live. And Eddie, not so much on the lead melodies. I would never pay money to see Van Halen without David Lee Roth. They're coming to Seattle on December 3. Maybe, just maybe although it's a school night.

Greensboro, my bad. We have a Greenville here in TX. Both towns are kinda small and not really exciting, but the concert was awesome. The coolest place we found in Greensboro was Mcoul's. Decent burgers.
