Actualy the Mr. Fusion is just for the flux capasitor. This is mentioned in Part 3 when the fuel line is cut ont the Delorean. It still runs on Regular.

I love Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, but I will have to say the Deloriian on tihs. Think about think. They both go fast, but the motor in Chitty Chitty Bang Bang is old and rusty by now. They both can fly, but the Delorian is faster at Transformation. Also, the Delorian has "Mr. Fusion" so you don't to worry about getting gasoline. Just throw some trash in it and BOOM, gas. Also, Delorian can go back in time. So I say the edge goes to DELORIAN!!! Sorry Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

However if you want to do a jumping contest, then KITT would win with the Turbo Boost over General Lee and Herbie. CCBB isn't known for jumping but CCBB is fast so could probably jump about as far as the General Lee or magic-jump as well as Herbie. :)

CCBB is a living machine, like Herbie. The DeLorean (it didn't even have a name!) had no mind or heart. It was just a machine.

CCBB told its owners how to use it and saved their lives. The DeLorean was just a neat but dangerous tool to mess up the time stream.

CCBB could fly in 1910. The DeLorean couldn't fly until the 2nd movie, set in 2015.

Besides, CCBB was their "fine four-fendered friend". The DeLorean was just Doc's time machine.

(By the way, "Chitty Chitty Bang Bang" was written by Ian Fleming, the author of the James Bond 007 series - he was tired of writing cloak & dagger stories and wanted to write a kids' book for a change)

If you're relying purely on speed, KITT might take the race in a heartbeat. Herbie and Chitty would tie for sentimental favorites, though. I wouldn't want Christine anywhere NEAR that track. The General Lee and KITT could both do spectacular jumps, but Chitty could stay in the air. Both the General and KITT would have to land eventually. The DeLorean would be out would be out of the race once it disappeared into another dimension.
