  • nice truck! hey i have these same rims on my 77 suburban i know there 15 inch but don't know any more about them im trying to find center caps for them any help on how to find them would be great thanks

  • badass truck brother! what trans/mods r u runnin? sounds great good job

  • So you got rid of the TBi setup and back to carb? Hows that for you, I got a 1991 k5 blazer 350 tbi, i was thinking of doing the 383 with Scat bottom end and edelbrock aluminum heads. Everyones telling me a TBi wont be good enough, what about a 454 ported an bored tbi setup?

  • @fifo32 I would steer away from the TBI, the cannot support much over 290hp. Carb is a cheap solution, but for fuel injection im saving for the FAST-EZ Fuel Injection Unit. Its a bolt on, self tuning, and over all looks really nice. The 454 TBI isnt much better in my oppinion, you cannot tune them very well and its expensive.

  • i know this is a stupid question but is it a lot worse on gas than the stock 350

  • @bmxjoshjoey Well it depends on how you build a the motor. If you put in a big cam, and big carb, its gonna suck more gas & make more power. If you put in a mild cam, or a RV cam in there with lets say some vortec head and a 500cfm carb, instead of a 750, its going to be better on gas but make less power. This current motor isn't bad but it is a lot harder on gas than the stock 350, yes. Depends how you build it...

  • @Truckkin454 thanks man

  • thats a bad ass truck i just got some new performance parts for mine and im taking it to the track soon again for the freestyle burn out won first last year do you know how too hook up a fuel pressure gauge to a 94 silverado 350 5.7 i don't know where i would be able too

  • @ztepcs11 Yeah. You would have to disconnect the fuel inlet line on the back/side of the TBI unit. From there I would probably use some AN fittings and splice in a T and run the fuel pressure gauge off of there. Just out of curiosity, why do you need a Fuel Pressure gauge?

  • @Truckkin454 i really don't lol but my brother got me two glow shift gauges with the pod for my birth day a transmission temp gauge and fuel perssure the trans temp i can use cause i do alot of burning out to make sure i dont over heat my trans again had to get it rebuilt lol

  • @ztepcs11 what state do you live in cause i live in california i have a truck club with nothing but ss trucks

  • gorgeous truck bud wish i could find a 92-94 single cab short bed

  • Comment removed

  • if you want the power you gotta pay for it

  • @DualsMeatChevy94 Yeah for sure, If you want to play you gotta pay!!!

  • sounds about right . my 94 silverado is gonna get something like that one day when my stocker dies at 500000 miles

  • @DualsMeatChevy94 I think the grand total all said and done was pretty close to 7500.00. That includes valve covers air filter, Torque converter, lockup kit, gauges ect...

  • how much did the engine with all the goodies cost

  • @DualsMeatChevy94 $5,000 ish

  • @DualsMeatChevy94 $5,000 ish

  • you gonna get 383ss decals now? ;)

  • I have a 95' GMC 2wd, fleet side, short bed, 5spd and planning on a similar engine swap. Forged rotating assembly with Mahle pistons, RHS 200cc iron heads. Are you happy with the XR270 cam? I have a 383 in my 68 Nova with a XR282 cam and its an animal! I wan the truck to be more of a daily driver!

  • @glisnake Yeah the cam made good power, very mild idle, but good idle/ drivability with a stock converter, but having a standered it will be no problem. I did swap this cam out to a bigger cam on a 112 lsa with a way more agressive idle. The added stroke took away some on the lope i was looking to have so it now has a 230/240 @.050 durration with .536 daily driver but, no snow ;) I love it this truck and it flys with the 3.08 rear gears, I'm currious to see the 3:73's do this summer

  • @Truckkin454 The 383 I have for my truck has a Comp xe274 hyd flat tappet cam in it. I want to put a big mutha thumpr hyd roller cam in before I put it in the truck. It's a little pricey but, I know they are worth it. Might just do a mutha thumpr hyd flat tappet cam to keep the cost down. It's not my daily driver. With a 5spd it will be a blast!!!

  • @johnpaulbruiser If your looking for a choppy idle & performace the thumpers are a good way to go, I though about the thumpers but I went a different route, but with the cam i have in it now it makes great power, and drivability is good. I drive my truck every day except in the snow and it makes 450 hp and just under 500 lb torque on a 112 lsa cam grind with A/C. Check out my other vids. Your truck will be fun. Roller is the way to go tho, my whole setup is roller.

  • wow hot truck lot's of power i love the 383 stroker setup im thinking about doing the same thing to 1 of my truck's what's the mpg on some thing lke that?

  • @209seancoatello to be honnest I have no idea, 8 MPG ?? 12 Freeway ish.

  • pull the fuse on the stock pcm !! so the check engine light will go off

  • @onh2 I thought about that but it still runs my fuel pump, temp, speedo, oil, volts, gauges. If i pull the fuese my gauge cluster might go limp? I'll have to look into that, good idea if all will still work.

  • Great looking truck. I like the exhaust tone as well, the deep rumble is awesome. In your tags you have flowmaster 40 dual exhaust. Are your mufflers the 40 series and is is a true dual or x-pipe system? Does the exhaust go through catalytic converters as well? Thanks.

  • @krawte89 Right now it is a single exhaust with a "Y" pipe at the end which branches the exhaust to each side, im looking into going true dual later but, i'll list my set up. Flowtech Shorty style headers, Stock down pipes into a single 3" collector, No Catalytic Converter, Flowmaster 40 " Original series " these are not the delta flow, 3 inch back over the axle then splits into 2 x 2.5" dual.

  • Absolutely amazing truck man. Well done! One of the best sounding trucks i've ever heard.

  • what size tires do you have on that truck dude? i have the same style struck and i want those same rims and tires cause i think they would look good on mine and thats the exact tire size i want.

  • @85200xrider1 There BFG Radial T/A 275 60 R15

  • whered u get the fog lights mine doesnt have the cutouts for it. gues it was a 91 thing

  • @papachuy29 When you order the airdamn, order one for the 454ss style pickup with fog cutouts. Mine came stock with fogs but you could swap them with the sport model airdamn.

  • dam dog that truck go hard ass fuck job well done mate :)

u should but a tachometer that revs higher bro?

  • @1surenolove4life3 yeah your right that would be handy, my redline is now 6 k it would be handy, I will ask santa and mabey have one for when the track re opens lol. thanks for the comment

  • Nice build!! Got any 1/4 times or dyno pulls on it?

  • @bizzlesnatch Yeah i got a dyno pull on it, my old set up was dyno tuned, with my new engine set-up it was put on an engine dyno. in this video i had smaller heads and cam, its a 218 224 durration a .050 with .500 lift. My new setup has bigger heads, bigger cam, and bigger carb. 442 hp and 487 torque. I havent taken it for a 1/4 mile run yet.

  • dude u shuda hollered at me i knew u was talkin about buildin it but damn lol now i gotta 1 up you hahahahaha

  • hi i just spent 6000 dollars to do burn outs lol

  • @rocco23554346 Yup, and lovin every minute of it. Cheers

  • @rocco23554346 i dont see the humor in your comment, any one else think its funny? i think you need to slow down on the ganja fool...grow up..it makes more sense he put 6k in this truck than you burning it up in a bowl u think? bet u get good ideas when your high huh? do you use your gettin high powers like lighting your farts? have you ever watched Towelie's Best Moments? search it on youtube i think you may have something in common with towelie

  • sweet dude let's meet up maybe next weekend paint the road im in mission can meet you some wer wad ya say??

  • @PITBULL35383 There is a Red or Pink coloured power wire coming for the tack, and there should be a brown wire also, Double check im going from memory but i think i spliced the brown wire and hooked it up to the tack outlet wire on my MSD Box. Easy

  • Stock distributor, TCI RV converter in a stock 700R4 and a Richmond 3.42 gear. The engine used thne ZZ4 cam i took out of the ZZ4 Vortec I put in my Vette. I put Crane double springs in th hads, Lunati Viton valve guide seals and crane 1.5 roller rockers. Double row timing set welded the oil pump screen Heads got a 3 angle valve job, gasket match to the intake manifold and a bowl clean up. I used the stock 1.94 inch intake and 1.55 on the exhaust valves. It ran mid 13s and got 22 mgh @ 70

  • @MasterWitchDoctor Right on, thats a good set-up. Thoes vortec heads are a great bang for your doller. I almost went with a set of 2.02 Int 1.60 Ext Vortec Heads converted to a 3/8 screw in stud, but I went with aluminum so i could go with a 10:1 Compression. Im going to upload a new video here with my new upgrades.

    - Comp 1.6 Roller rockers, Comp 230, 240 Durration Cam on a 112 LSA .536 Lift .050, B&M Holeshot 2400 Stall Converter, 750 Cfm Carb. Made 442 hp 487 ft lb torque on an Engine dyn

  • Nice truck!!! I had a '90 350SS I put the L98 I took out of my '89 vette in it. Added a Weiand Stealth egr intake, with K & N velocity stack that rose up into the hood instead of going into the fender like the factory setup. Hooker headers into 2 and 1/2 inch exhaust flow master 2 chambers no cat converters. I put a Belltech lowering kit on it and dropped it with 295/50/15 rears 215/65/15s on the front so it sat straight. Used the stock throttle body reworked and a custom chip.

  • Wow i've only been subbed for like a week and you've come out with some great videos!

  • @ajs07nightster Love it, but its got a bigger cam and 2400 stall converters and 750 cfm carb on it now. 442 hp 487 lb tq.

  • @gman69455 I havent kept track of the gas mileage since I did the motor swap. But with the 350 it got about 24-25 km a gallon.

  • why you called trucking454 with a small block ur lying to us man i guess only us men drive big blocks

  • @hoorsec Thanks for your comment... First off, my account name is " Truckkin454 " that is spelled with TWO K's, Okay!? Sorry but you FAILED. Secondly, the titles of my uploaded video / video's have 350 ss or 383, clearly you cannot read. Third, I drive a Small Block Chevy because i didnt fit the profile of a, No Mind, Door Knobbed imbecile, such as you did..... I'm called Truckkin454 to piss ppl like you off. Good day fine Sir!!!

  • hows the TRANY holding

  • @1Erland5 Like it should. SOLID!!!

  • does this video already exist

  • @1991Chevy4X4 Yeah, I had to re upload it. The video went glitchy.

  • you did great job with this it sounds good.

  • @semajb25 Thankyou

  • Nice truck put after market Tach and speedo in it

  • @Simplicity885 Yeah, I need to do something with the Tach. The motor is built to handle higher RPM's than stock, but my tach limits me to only go to about 5- 5200 rpm. Redlines arround 5600. I might do a hide away in the glove box or in the smoke fold out tray. Thanks for the comment.

  • @Truckkin454 Im building a 94 Right now as a off roader And I dont like the look of the stock gauges. I was going to take it out and put a pice of sheet metal And put speedo and tach in it. and some after market gauges in to it. ill some time make a vid of the template i drew up

    Nice truck
