  • Should you include Ohm's Law to calculate your test?

  • Is there any way to protect the circuit from failer?

    What if you use some expensive ICs and not just an LED. how to do you protect it?

  • What if you put too much power into the resistor and he burns? Will the current stop there, or will die LED explode too? ;) I really like this video.. Hope you will make a few more for other electronics components. Thx

  • Thanks! I'm working on a short series of them, and will hopefully be able to post them all here :-).

    There are two common failure modes for resistors, open and closed. If the resistor absorbs too much power, it's most likely to melt down and look like an open circuit, as if it were disconnected. It's also possible that the resistor could fail as a short, meaning that the LED will indeed blow up.
