Buick GS 600+ hp

i have a 70 buick 455 with 69 430 heads with gs valves crower cam b4b 750 carb and it sounds better than yours and it has 442 hp and 538 lbs tq. i not a hater i love buick torque.it just doesnt have 600 hp.put it on wheel dyno and add the drive-train loss.

This is a Buick Century GS.. It's a Gran Sport, which only came with a 455.

@dbc1dc I wouldn't be surprised, Buick 455s churn out 360hp+ from the factory. It doesn't take much to push 600

Its really only the torque that's demonstrated by this anyways. The 455's were rated at 510 ft lbs which is massive.

Its never stated whats in this car anyways.

@hondabigredatc apparently you dont know wtf you are talking about.600 horsepower is not easy to come by in 455.but it does make 550lbs torque easy.and torque is what gets land boats rolling.

@mrat455 I do know what I am talking about, a 600hp Buick 455 is not unheard of with the right setup. 600hp is not easy to come by with any engine but it doesnt take much from a big cube motor like it would for a small block 350 to make 600hp. The point is everyone is so skeptical of this being a 600hp car and all I have to say is that there are many many many 600hp+ Buicks out there. Do some research
