my phone keeps going in and out of service when im in an area with full bars and to fix it i have to turn my phone off and then back on, i have a question what would happen if i updated my jailbroken iphone on a different computer that it is originally synced to cause i dont want a jail broken phone anymore, a lot of people have told me it will brick the phone is this true and if it is would there be a way around it?

@Bonys03 That's what this jailbreak is. Because iOS 5 has recently come out. It's a Tethered Jailbreak so you must do this every time your phone turns off or you restart it. Heard that there will soon be an Un-Tethered Jailbreak where this will not be needed.

@bedmaster88 ok,what u do is look up whatever firmware your on and download it with safari or internet explorer note if you use internet explorer rename it .ipsw at the end then when its done open itunees connect the ipod and hit shift+restore look for where u put it (i suggest the desktop) the it will verify then it will restore

the only reason its making that sound is because you have shake to skip turned on basically your setting your iphone down to rough or accidentally shaking it and it skips to the next song

guys if you have tethered jailbreak open cydia download cydelete,
go to system preferences and scroll down to cydelete put the cydia thingy off
and hold your finger on cydia app no you get a black cross, click it
you deleted cydia now you can restore your idevice

Im jailbroken on 4.2.8 and my phone is having alot of problems and i want to restore update. it says "the update server is unavailable at this time. Please try again later." I tried again later and it still says its unavailable. What do i do?

well i jailbroke my ipod using greenpois0n nd after i put cydia on it none of my original apps would work like the notes , safari , etc. nor did cydia work so i restarted it and all those apps are gone i only have facebook nd games wat do i do ?????

@JamjamLewis best thing to do here is to restore to factory and start again it seems like your jailbreak got screwed up and didnt install properly

Hi, need small help as I messed up...
I jailbroke my iPhone 4 (iOS 4.3.2) and installed cydia but It was untethered.
so whenever I restart my phone, I had to connect it to computer and run a redsnow to boot tethered.
Do u have any solution for it?

After I go into recovery mode at the end it says "the iPhone "iPhone" could not be restored. An unknown error occurred (1013).
And I can not restore and goes back to connect to iTunes logo on my phone

Hold both the power button and home button for about 10 seconds, then let go of the HOME button and it should restart with all of your data intact.

I have jailbroken my iphone 3gs and I am running 4.2.1 with 10.2.1 itunes and I am trying to unjailbreak my phone back to normal settings because I am tired of having the jailbroken phone. The only problem is that when I click restore it shows an error saying "Iphone cannot be restored at this time because the Iphone software update server could not be contacted or is temporarily unavailable." Um yes the problem with my iPhone 3G is that when I put it to sleep mode it just dies and losses all battery and when I try to go to cydia it shows repairs but then after that it just dies and restarts help please

@bedmaster88 ok,what u do is look up whatever firmware your on and download it with safari or internet explorer note if you use internet explorer rename it .ipsw at the end then when its done open itunees connect the ipod and hit shift+restore look for where u put it (i suggest the desktop) the it will verify then it will restore

hey guys i have an iphone which is jailbroken however im not experiencing any major problems...yet....but sometimes i have t mobile network and it will say orange :s...and some of the applications take slightly longer to load....when im playing a song it would make this funny toolaaloo sound (sounds like something failed) and skip to the next song...should i unjailbreak it???

the only reason its making that sound is because you have shake to skip turned on basically your setting your iphone down to rough or accidentally shaking it and it skips to the next song

hey guys,
if i do what you said, restore back to factory settings, will i loose my current apps that are on my iphone? only issue is that my laptop was stolen about 4 months ago and i am now using my wifes mac. i seem to be a little paralized because when i plug my iphone in, they show my current apps, but when i say "SYNC" they ask me to restore and ALL will be deleted and my old apps. come up, i don't want my old apps, too much value in the current ones. should or shouldn't i. ps-good vid!

okay, i downloaded something bad from cydia i guess and it made my ipod touch 4.1 shut off, all it does is have the apple symbol and it has it as its loading and i have tried restoring it but it says.....the ipod "ipod" could not be restored an unknown error occurred. (3194) please help!
