On the snare. Rim shots will put some accents on your drumming. Put it every beat 2 and 4.

You do know what's rim shots, do you? It's a stroke where the body of the stick hit the rim while the tip hit the head-drum. It'll sound very nice and powerful.

just be patient and keep practicing... i dont know if i could give you any useful advise to improve your one handed roll because i think mine still has a long way to go.

I recomend Derrick Pope`s tutorial videos, that guy is really cool (he has a one handed roll video i gues...)
