anyone knows how to play this game without waiting at least 1 minute each turn? I mean it's impossible to play a small map with 2 opponents, it gets slow . Turns shouldn't take more than some seconds.

@caleron0 it's not a pc issue, I got 5 pc's and turns are slow even on the best one. Too slow to me ranges from 2 minutes to 30 seconds. Turns should take 5-15 seconds, not any longer

This system can easily get this kind of game and allow player to get rid of windows bugs or driver problem like now.

i'm an X3 fun frustrated by windows bugs and pc memory leak when play on X3.

And honestly PS3 allow powerful graphics and X3 or Space Empire 5 on PS3 can be as beautiful as on PC without windows drivers and memory bugs.

Imagine on Space Empire, your customized ship on active animation during combat with the active view or your real customizations like on soul calibur or in dynasty Warrior Empire.

Same for X3.

Before the crappy vista XP I was a player PC fan but now I stop wasting my money on this shit always on bad driver or update required or bug integrated.

But Im also a space empire 5 fan.

I love this excellent game.

For the moment my 2 favorite games are X3 and Space Empire 5.

The drivers might suck , but not even that badly, we all know that windows as system itself, isn't worth shit. Still, it is widely used for gaming purposes and there are loads of titles out there that are worthy and run with little waste of resources, so i wouldn't condamn every pc games on that basis. X3 is unfortunatly one of the biggest resources drainer ever created but i still wouldn't play it on a console.

It is an awesome game, check my profile for a video of some nice battles. Though you do need the latest patch for it to be less annoying. Especially since that troop supply bug was fixed.

Detailed game, more logic than Galactic Civilization 2, even with that uncomfortable design and creepy graphic from 2000 year.

But - too unfinished, this game need more patches, and u can't play with interest without some mods like "balance mod".

This game is (still) awesome.

Only things i dislike is that the AI cannot open up jumpgates and that the pathfinding go from A to B which makes the AI ships attack any of your planets that may be in the way, they cannot go around them.

Then the AI is a bit trigger happy, but that i can solve by building a defence.

So many space games have a cheesy style that puts me right off, full of words like "blargrarg, grox morgletrot!", I mean god, why can't people learn from games like Homeworld and try some artistic impact. It's like fucking Flash Gordon.

Why is that a problem? You should be using winrar or 7zip as your standard decompression tool anyway, and both can handle .rar.

Maybe someone can help me here, whenever I go to develop a new aircraft design the strategy window is blank. Which, initially I thought "Oh, well no big deal, won't hurt too much" But somehow by default my units are set to flee from combat. I've lost squads of attack frigates to scouts cause of their unwillingness to attack. Anyone know how I may be able to fix this?

I have the same problem but i have the demo of the game, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn´t.

I don´t know. But try download & install new patches if you haven´t done that...
