exactly goes well with the crazed rule...ugly old school model boring paint scheme and a 50$ investment.only abaddon should be painted black legion colors and even then it s because of the fluff because black and gold brass or silver is really easy and boring.I play chaos space marines and I wish I could use a real dread like the imperial traitors they have good looking plastic kits.I hope the next codex will bring chaos to what it was and redo all the metal models in a better way.

If you want a Chaos Dreadnought, you realy should get one from Forgeworld, or convert the Space Marine Dreadnought kit. The Chaos Dreadnought is metal and thats not only harder to build and paint, but it weighs a ton.

Hopefully Games Workshop will realese a plastic Chaos Dreadnought kit with lots of weapon alternatives and items to put on it.

I was unaware that chaos even possessed the knowledge to make a dread, anyways they have defilers, bloodthirsters, and daemon princes, dont say GW doesnt like chaos.

I think some of the Traitor Legions had Dreads in their possession at the time of the Heresy (in fact, I distinctly remember a picture of a Sons of Horus dread on Istvaan), so likely, since time passes slower in the Warp, there are a good many Chaos Dreadnoughts. Though, if I recall correctly, Pre-Heresy Dreads look different from these types of Dreads, so I would assume a Chaos Dread would look more like the old Pre-Heresy model. Unless they looted some Post-Heresy dreads.

same as pretty much all chaos stuff, it was most likely dreads that then decided to turn to chaos, or was looted from a battle zone. But I doubt it was the latter as thats mainly what Chaos Renegades (Traitor Guardsmen) do.

few tips: be more creative! make the legs further apart so it looks like hes walking like one infront of the other. also make sure you make the decals more centered like the one you showed was too far to the right... good job tho keep it up!

quite obviously u have no idea of warhammer 40k, the right combination of chaos forces (close-combat, and range combat) can prove to be very hard to beat. @video: What i always did is put a base on my dreadnaughts, creating a little scenery with corpses...etc to establish mood. Other than that nicely painted^^
