Going back to the '67 borders or connecting Gaza and the West Bank would mean the Palestinians could shoot down an airplane entering the Tel Aviv airport. It would also allow missiles to attack other cities. Right now, Hamas only rockets a few Israeli cities daily. Maybe Obama should think how he would feel if Washington was bombed a ten times a day. The key is 'mutually agreed swaps'. It means that the parties themselves - Israelis and Palestinians - will negotiate a border that is different than the one that existed on June 4, 1967. It does not mean the borders will become the exact same they were in 1967.

@IndisputableAttitude I understand that lobby groups like AIPAC have a strong influence on the foreign policy of the United States but I don't blame all Jews for that. I have many Jewish friends who are opposed to Israel's policies. Also, there really won't be a place to defect to for Jews because Israel is basically destroying itself with its crazy foreign policy. They are surrounded by Arab nations and without the United States backing I don't know how they will stand on their own.
