perhaps anybody can help me. i'm not a musician, i can't play guitar and i'm german. so i understand nothing much. can you say me what terra does with her right hand? at the moment i play the song like this: (i number the strings)

left hand: first three fingers on first three strings

right hand: string 1, 2, 4, 3 and 2

then the left hand goes one fret down and my right hand repeat. after this the left hand don't touch any strings and the right hand repeat again.

Bop Till You Drop (one of his earlier albums; 1979) is my absolute favorite.

Another that I can can strongly recomend is "Slow Turning" by John Hiatt. This is the only album of John Hiatt where Ry Cooder played on. Some of the songs they wrote together. I'm not a big fan of John Hiatt, but Slow Turning is realy good. Probebly because John and Ry have good chemistry :)

The way your guitar is tuned is simular to an "open tuning". A bottleneck could realy sound great with your voice.

You probebly know this already, but for those who don't... The soundtrack of (wonderfull) movie called "Paris, Texas" by Wim Wenders is written and performed by Ry Cooder. There is a lot of very sensetive use of the bottleneck in it. It's realy worth a listen. I guarentee you'll like it even more after watchting the movie :)
