I started over trying a smaller hook and it's still really big compared to yours...what am I doing wrong here?

So I finished the last increase row...7 sc in between each increase...did your next couple steps and my beanie is way bigger than what you said yours was, like over 6"...can I not do the rows where it calls for all the different number of stitches in between and continue doing the sc all the way around? I don't know how to make it the same size as yours any other way...

I've crochet blankets for years. I wanted to try this since I'm pregnant but like another person said when you get to the point where I should only have 6 stitches left I have like 30 too! :( so I just stopped right there so I could measure mine... It's 6inches and my stitches aren't to lose they're pretty tight I don't know where I went wrong

"single crochet around to the end"...what does that mean? Once around from where you start? This is a whacky pattern.

This is adorable, I absolutely love this! I'm using the same sized needle as you, though, and my hat in progress is much bigger than yours. :( I'm kind of a beginner so I'm not sure how to go about tweaking the pattern to fit a 14 inch head...

if you use thicker yarn use a smaller hook or the hat will be too big

u changed the pattern a bit right?? ...coz one of the vids u posted the link and when i checked the pattern it was a bit different....u ended with 7 singles then 2 in one stitch and then changed...if i continued to 8 - 9 and then the 6 sc ,2in one stitch then 26..etc ...will it work ??
