Her voice is good! She maybe could do with more of a carribean accent to her voice, but melodically it is great!
I think she needs to loosen up. She looks very nervous, which maybe why she lacks expression. Most people are nervous, but in the other videos of kids singing this song the kid doesn't look so self consious and it pays to look comfortable. I think it makes the audience relaxed if the actors are.

and they cut the song!!! there was no gliss. and the part that goes "walk with me little girl and i'll take you far, round each bend, little friend, i'll be by your side, that's what a mama's worth to give her child the earth and whatever you need mama will provide"
was it lower than written also? because i could have sworn it was higher...
For 13, she's good. But she lacks enthusiasm. Good though.

I like this more realistic version and not the exaggerated singing. She sounds more genuine.

I agree with you, you can tell she can sing, the other videos they are more talking and sreeching through the song than singing.

Next year we are doing this play, I watched all these videos and this is the best performance of this song in my opinion.
