*a brief visit to Wikipedia later* There were actually three wizards in addition to Gandalf and Saruman. Their names are Radagast the Brown, Alatar the Blue and Pallando the Blue. So, nobody whose name is even close to Drexle.
After consulting my Tolkein Companion, an encyclopedia of all things Tolkeinian, I can find no mention of Drexle, or the orb thereof, anywhere in the canonical stories.
is the white wizard any good?

I am not sure, they dont let you fight with Gandalf against anything but the final boss. And he dies right away.
