ABUSE no matter how you want to look at it. Would you run after a child and rope them, come to a slamming halt and jerk their neck, potentially breaking their neck in the process?? You all seem to be under the delusion that animals don't have feelings and that they will just get on a plate someday. I hope you come back as a cow and get what's coming to you.

I'm going to school to become a veterinary assistant and I love my animals, horses, dogs, cats, etc. You don't know any of us, so don't tell us what we think. Have you ever been to a rodeo? Those horses love what they do. And it ain't no different than cattle ranches catching the calves and giving them their shots and brands. Rodeo was started because of this. Ranches competed to see who was best and get better at their jobs.

@dixiegirl1712 Gosh, isn't that a scary thought, this girl wants to become a vet?! I try to avoid rodeo at all cost. So tell me your views on shocking animals, pulling calves tales and beating them to get them to be "wild". So, you think they love it? Why don't you come to the horse rescue I volunteer at, we have a few of your "well treated" horses and they don't seem to happy. I'm cool with real cowboys, I just have a problem with people doing this shit for laughs and giggles and "sport"

@evi1ange19 I've been behind the scenes at rodeos and the calves ain't shocked or treated badly. They run out of the shoot of their own accord because it's what they're trained to do. And the horses are treated well, usually. I'm not saying all of them are, just like not all pets are but most are loved and are part of the family. I have horses that are treated very well. That's all I have to say. I have better things to do than argue with somebody I've never met on a stupid website.

have you ever owned a rodeo animal? no? didnt think so. those animals live for that. it aint abuse at all. the horses especially love it and get the best of care and love. if rodeo is abuse to animals, then so is using them for ranch work because most rodeo events came fromt that. im not saying they all did, but the greater majority did. im not going to lie, some rodeo animals are abused, but so are some that are just used as pets. and if you dont like it, then keep it to yourself.

@rodeocowgirl161 i agree with u. rodeos aren't abuse, though I can't stand to wtach wild horses be ridden like they are in rodeos, thts just cause I LOVE horses and don't like to see wild horses be used tht way, but bull riding and roping, thts just what cowboys int he 1800s did its no big deal, if it is really abuse, then rodeos wouldn't be allowed

I love rodeos they are so awesome all the excitement. I use to have a barrel horse she was awesome the best I ever had she died of old age. That girl love running barrels. She has placed 1st and 2nd. She is very quick around barrels where you have to hold on tight to stay in the saddle. I miss her
