The reason being that, as soon as it went top 30, Ministry of Sound used it in a TV campaign advertising their new compilation. The choice for the punter then became '£3 for a single or £12 for a 50 track album, including this one?' Needless to say, people stopped buying the single and went for the album. Frustrating for me and others involved with the record because as you say this should've been a monster chart hit.
