I've never met Tom, but he called my company in relation to his work. He is very professional and does his job very well - but after a while we got talking about other things and it emerged that he had had a lower limb amputation as recently as February!
What I wanted to say is Tom, you are so positive about life, you clearly are treating this as a minor hiccup in your life and moving on.
I have no idea how I would cope with this, but your attitude must be an inspiration to everyone.
