12 minutes was cut out of the movie, because of too much darkness and till yet you don't get an uncuted original version!!! Can anybody tell me why ?

@Haifischflosse77 If no one has told you yet, there were two deleted scenes, one of which is now available. the available one is of the Fairfolk realm, the other is the horned king dissolved quite gruesomely. some believe there is also a scene in which Eilonwy's dress is ripped as she hangs by her arms, leaving her partially exposed

it was shelved for 15 years after its release until the VHS "Disney Masterpeice Collection" then shelved again for another few years ... a speacal edition DVD is coming out soon ... but no one knows how soon ....

the Disney Company dosn't like this movie beacuse it didn't make that much monney ... =(

if this were ever made into a film, it would be seen as a sort of adolescent spinoff of LOTR based on how the disney cartoon depicted the book. my favorite of the series was Castle of Lyr--or was it Llyr? I've forgotten the spelling--its been years since i read it in grade school!
