One of the best parts I feel, about DS9, was the wormhole, but during the War (when the series stepped up from great to kick-ass awesome) the wormhole in DS9 was never really used. That's a little sad to me, the series was still awesome though.
DS9 sucked balls compared to B5. B5 was ahead of it's time and easily matches anything on the box today. DS9 was typical Trek hippy crap. Peace and love bollocks.
I heard that when the creator heard of Deep space 9 he thought it was a copy of Babylon 5!!! But there are obviously things in DS9 that aren't in B5 and the same thing for B5.
I am glad you got it right that Worf became a Commander during DS9. Most people think he remained a Lieutenant Commander after the first Star Trek TNG movie.
This is FANTASTIC! HA! I LOVE IT. Great video edits. And what a great parody to Bab 5's season four sequence of total war. Albeit, even more chilling because I would fight the Jem'Hadar every day and twice on Sundays rather than -ever- mess with the Shadows. They scare the hell out of me.
OK, you've pondered the possibilities of DS9 with Christopher Franke music... now, how about venturing into the concept of B5 as scored by Jay Chattaway?
Actually, B5 was in development long before DS9. It also has a much richer story line and far better writing. I was in an online forum discussing B5 for a full year before it ever came out.
DS9 è una grande serie, B5 è una grande serie, ma han ben cose in comune. Questo mix secondo me non rende gloria a nessuno e fa solo confusione.... mi spiace, ma questo video non mi piace affatto.
Well done! It's a little odd hearing the name of the place is Babylon 5 with a picture of DS9, but the clips were excellently chosen and very well assembled.
In a way, I have to agree with you that Star Trek would have been more interesting if Christopher Franke was in charge of the music, but DS9 themes IMO was one of the most interesting and my fav. of all the ST series intros.
It's not a bad idea and you picked some good scenes but the voices don't make it mix right.
The Babylon 5 - Deep Space 9 comparison has been around for some time and I think you can find sound clips of the DS9 actors speaking the same lines as the Babylon 5 theme song to make it sound more natural.

In my opinion season 4 of B5 had the best intro of all of them. It's almost poetry.

two characters made DS9 worth watching, Garak and Quark, Thumbs up if you agree.

Interestingly, I think much of the dialogue at the start, would apply to DS9's sixth season as well as it did to B5's fourth season.

DS9 is the better show (and not a "rip-off"). B5 wouldn't exist without Trek.

More talking heads....
To make it feel like B5, it's more about the scene transitions...it has to be fast and dynamic for this music.....and less talking heads.

Considering DS9 (as good as it was) was basically a B5 rip off, this is only logical. :)

I've sat through all of the B5 into Trek vidoes that I can find, and I have to say this is by far the best, nigh on perfect.

Great work this has to be one of the best openings yet. B5 season 5 titles seem perfect for the dominion war saga of ds9 :)

Very well put together. The timing was spot on for most scenes; you really gave the 'Year of Fire' feeling, just as Babylon 5's intro! +5

Why does Odo get the coveted "AND" credit instead of Worf or O'Brien, who both been around much longer?

Very intense, indeed. Scenes from the Battle of Cardassia Prime set to my favorite Babylon 5 season opening theme? I have to love it.

Good Job

The one thing i will concde to babylon 5 is that it had a truly aweomse theme.
Great video. now do one for every season.

Great Video with the perfect set of scenes to match the intensity of the theme, I'd say you know what you're doing. Keep it up.

Currently working on with Seaon 3's theme.
fisnationstate 4 years ago
Season 3 had the best theme. Except right near the end. But the main part is amazing.
RXdash78 4 years ago
Which part do you mean? When the camera was focusing right into the station?
fisnationstate 4 years ago
The part where it shows the portraits of the cast.
Your alternate intro number 3 uses it starting with 0:35 aqnd ending with 1:04. Any part after that is when the original theme falls apart.

<3 for including garak.

I just included Garak in the intro because he's my favorite character in DS9. ;)

ah not bad. Too bad you couldn't at least cover up Sheridan's dialogue of "Babylon 5" with Sisko saying "Deep Space Nine".
