Why the fuck does everyone feel like the youtube comment section is a place where we all give a shit what you're thinking or what a song reminds you of? It's the fucking internet, nobody cares, just shut the fuck up damn
@83gfunk Yea i've been there, but it gets tiring and my body hurts from taking all that stuff. But I know what you mean, I still do it in some ways.I guess Ill ride the wave where it takes me.
thanks to all for this song.. for this album... for this worlds.. for the art of making music... i hope that all the group of pearl jam read this.. just to say thanks again.. to pearl jam and to anyone in this world that make music because love music.. god gives to you a gift.. use it!! but never forget where the gift came from..
This song always makes me cry. I was 18 struggling to find where I belonged. Then my grandfather who I got my large amount of patience from passed away. I remember walking along the beach at night listening to it. Such emotional times all the hurt comes back when I hear this. You never really get over the loss of someone when you don't get a proper chance to say goodbye.
This is a beatiful song. It's actually my warm up song for my flute, and I'm sorry to say that it's been a year since I've played and I destroyed it tonight. But I'm so glad it's here. It was a break up song for me at one time, and very heart-felt at that. So thank you. Nancy
I lost my Dad in 2004, and think about him everyday. This is the song I wish I could have wrote for him. But, it's so beautiful that I would rather have Eddie sing it to him.
I haven't seen my Father's face since the time I was 7, but I see him every time I hear this song. Even if its only for a moment, in my mind, I still see him again.
Best PJ song EVER!!! I finally gave them a shot in 1998 and bought Ten. Afterwards, I bought every album and single they made, but this one stayed my favorite...
I hear stories from my old man, of me standing next to the speakers head banging to these guys... I'm 17 now, and this album is my all time favorite... I love them so so much <3
this is quite possibly my favourite pearl jam song, although just breathe, footsteps and breath come really close. just made me realise how much i love music.
i bought this cd in 1992 and it was the first CD i could listen from start to end. And still its one of the best songs ever. A shame there are no good live images of a performance with this song!
@rageculloz obviously your opinion is of naught because you dont even know the correct soundgarden album name. Its Badmotorfinger and yes it was good, but not as good as Ten. Im surpirsed you spelled nevermind right......

I first heard his song when I was 12 years old. I, as I would assume most people did, bought this cd after hearing Alive for the first time. However, this song hit me more than any other on that album or any of their albums since. This band made me want to be a musician. While I know I'll never be rich or famous, I make a living doing what I love more than anything in the world, and this song set me on that path.
I too bought this CD when I was in 7th grade for "Alive." I met my wife over a year ago, and while we were dating, she said what about RELEASE by Peal Jam? I had forgotten about the song until she reminded me. Now it is on our wedding play list!

It seems people actually do care about such comments judging by the thumbs ups.
