  • Why the fuck does everyone feel like the youtube comment section is a place where we all give a shit what you're thinking or what a song reminds you of? It's the fucking internet, nobody cares, just shut the fuck up damn

  • @mrtall1994 That's ironic.

  • @mrtall1994 So why would anyone care about your argument wich had nothing positive to add at all, according to your logic?

It seems people actually do care about such comments judging by the thumbs ups.

  • This song always makes me cry. I was 18 struggling to find where I belonged. Then my grandfather who I got my large amount of patience from passed away. I remember walking along the beach at night listening to it. Such emotional times all the hurt comes back when I hear this. You never really get over the loss of someone when you don't get a proper chance to say goodbye.

  • I always tear up when i hear this song its just so sad cause eddie didnt grow up with a father like most of us

  • @pwnerzatzhaloz3

You're kidding right? Do you know how many people DON'T grow up with a father? Alot more then those who do, I'll tell you that

  • This is a beatiful song. It's actually my warm up song for my flute, and I'm sorry to say that it's been a year since I've played and I destroyed it tonight. But I'm so glad it's here. It was a break up song for me at one time, and very heart-felt at that. So thank you. Nancy

  • one of the best songs ever!!!!

  • so close to home.

  • is it just me or is the extended drum & bass section at the end sound sensual and entrancing, almost tribal?

  • @ldav0702 its not just you.

  • I want this song played at my funeral!

  • so many years have gone by...."I see the words on a rocking horse of time"

I'll wait out in the dark for you to speak to me

  • Lost my dad when I was 5, 30 years ago today. For the last 20 years, on this date it is this song that gets me through.

  • @jfederer hear u on that

  • I lost my Dad in 2004, and think about him everyday. This is the song I wish I could have wrote for him. But, it's so beautiful that I would rather have Eddie sing it to him.

  • can you feel the pain ib this song?????......but also a message of hope

  • EPIC!!!

  • I haven't seen my Father's face since the time I was 7, but I see him every time I hear this song. Even if its only for a moment, in my mind, I still see him again.

  • This song saves my life...

This song is exactly what I want to tell to my father... what would I going to tell him some day.

  • Best PJ song EVER!!! I finally gave them a shot in 1998 and bought Ten. Afterwards, I bought every album and single they made, but this one stayed my favorite...

  • I love how this song ends like Once begins...

  • I got this cassette when it first came out, it got me through eighth grade when i thought I knew everything.

  • I hear stories from my old man, of me standing next to the speakers head banging to these guys... I'm 17 now, and this album is my all time favorite... I love them so so much <3

  • this is quite possibly my favourite pearl jam song, although just breathe, footsteps and breath come really close. just made me realise how much i love music.

  • best song ever man!!

  • This is my meditation

  • Love it!!!

  • i bought this cd in 1992 and it was the first CD i could listen from start to end. And still its one of the best songs ever. A shame there are no good live images of a performance with this song!

  • reminds me of goodtimes when i was just a kid no worrys no bills no housepayment. this song inspires me thankyou for posting this

  • @rageculloz obviously your opinion is of naught because you dont even know the correct soundgarden album name. Its Badmotorfinger and yes it was good, but not as good as Ten. Im surpirsed you spelled nevermind right......

  • I first heard his song when I was 12 years old. I, as I would assume most people did, bought this cd after hearing Alive for the first time. However, this song hit me more than any other on that album or any of their albums since. This band made me want to be a musician. While I know I'll never be rich or famous, I make a living doing what I love more than anything in the world, and this song set me on that path.

  • @dmo71 amen man. amen.

  • @dmo71

I too bought this CD when I was in 7th grade for "Alive." I met my wife over a year ago, and while we were dating, she said what about RELEASE by Peal Jam? I had forgotten about the song until she reminded me. Now it is on our wedding play list!

  • @dmo71 That is really nice. I was 18 the first time I heard it

  • @dmo71 absolutely......changed my life....no bullshit

  • @dmo71 awesome, bro. Serious.

  • @dmo71 Spoken like a true being of the Earth. One who just wishes to live their life on the path they've chosen and live happy.

  • @dmo71 I highly doubt that ANYONE could have said it better. Thank you for putting into words- my exact thoughts.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG. THANK YOU.

  • Thanks from israel.

  • The Crucifixion. . . thats what this song reminds me of.

  • Reminds me of my happy childhood in the 90's. Kind of makes me sad, but it's a beautiful song.

  • this album isn't good like nevermind bad motherfinger and core

  • @ragegulloz

I agree, its different From nevermind. Soundgarden were great, but never had a song that sent shivers up the spine like this.

STP Could never in a million years write a song like this, so emotional, so deep and profound.

  • @Hahnmaier I agree totally!!!

  • love pearl jam, and another example of their excellence

  • release me man jeje

  • thank u for posting.....one of my fav. love from Italy.
