Yeah, she's singing flat because she can't hear herself well. She's mess'n with her earpieces the whole concert. First song;s always tough because they're getting things dialed in, it gets better. If you know Leigh Nash you know she can sing. Kiss me is good from this concert, and Love, Salvation, the Fear of Death is awesome

Lee Mavers wrote the music and lyrics, and originally recorded it with The La's. I've also heard a later, slightly more (over-)produced version.

Although I like SNtR's studio and (other) live versions of this, this performance seems a bit slow, and Miz Nash seems a bit flat, in spots. Love her.

Leigh Nash was married ...so I assume she is not lesbian. But she sure is cute! I loved her look with the really short hair too. This is a cover of The La's song, and she did not alter the words to say "there he goes" - she just sang it the way they did.

She's singing a cover song for the LAS...it has nothing to do with her sexual preferences. In fact, it was Matt Slocum who pressed for taking on this cover song, not Leigh, who had some reservations (due to how tough it would be to 'one up' the LAS').

The debate over the lyrics is mostly about if the song is about drugs.

I saw them back in '96 or '97, right before they made it big. I was a kid and when I met Leigh I offered to go on the road with her as her bodyguard. She was cool...told me yes! Jokingly, of course. They're cool people. :-)
