I remember, back about five years ago, I absolutely despised Wayne and rap in general. Then I sat down and listed to Carter, Carter II, and his mixtapes.

Seriously, what happened? Carter II's Wayne is one of the GOAT in my book, and because of him, I started listening to some other great rappers (Cudi, Fiasco, etc.). It's so strange to see such a dip in quality with Carter III and IV. He put out some good music after this on mixtapes, but this is definitely where he peaked.

Tha Carter II is the only really good Lil Wayne Album. The other ones are all right or just plain bad like I Am Not A Human Being (terrible). Tha Carter IV had good production but the lyrics were mad cheezy with those elementary level punchlines, what happened to just spitting. Tha Carter III had better songs but the lyrics were really weak. Tha Carter II had good production and good lyrical content. This is why Fly In is Lil Wayne's best song In my opinion.
