  • 2:46pm Saturday (CST) - Time in Mississippi

  • Your awareness of potential landing sites in the event of engine failure is commendable.

I know many pilots who don't think about it!

  • Thx for sharing the video. I was told by a friend that the take off from Quincy is pretty tricky and can only be done from one end. Looking at Google Earth, it seems you have more enough space around? If you have Google Earth and want to see another airport with difficult approach is on Iceland, a place called Isafjordur. Cheers.

  • i loved it! ty I use to watch you at airport in quincy and watch you taking off!

  • DId you use oxygen at all when cruising at 12.5??

  • No, I've never felt the need.

  • Wow, I didn't know Quincy was big enough to have their own airport. Thanks for posting. You flew over my home! Thanks for posting.

  • Excellent Videos. Thanks for posting these!

  • Thanks a lot! There is a link to my web site in the description of this video.

  • Great video. Interesting AWOS at Grants Pass though. I'll be heading up there in a few weeks.

  • Yea, they should outlaw those things. I think I'll be in Grants Pass next weekend.

  • This guy is great.

  • Frank, it's great hearing you mention that you were flying along a route that took you close to airports and you were keeping an eye open for alternate landing sites in the case of an "off airport landing". Keep up the great work!

  • I agree Frank, I think you are getting the hang of it. great flight, landing and video.

  • What was the airport elevation? That climb rate looked SLOW. I wouldn't want to try that in a fully loaded Cessna 172n.

  • 84 gallons, 2 suitcases, two big guys and a field elevation of 3400'.

  • Oh wow. That is beautiful and really interesting. Thanks for the commentary it brings things to life.

  • Excellent video with great scenery! Longtime viewer, love the vids. Im a PPL student out of KSNA and i enjoy how you verbalize all checklists and keep a possible field insight incase of an emergency. Very instructive vids, very professional. Great job Frank!

See you in the Socal Skies,

    Corey
