  • Iv been looking all around for a build it your self kit like you where talking about, I can not find one anywhere! They all seem to be ARTR or RTR. Do you have a website or might now how i might get one. I live in Oregon and so far i have not found a kit like yours. Thanks

  • @dlopez7631 They don't make a kit version of this anymore...It's only the RTR of ARTR. But every once in a while you can pick one up on Ebay.

  • do you have the novak rooster esc??

  • @flyBMXPROfly Yes I do...

  • nice vid

  • @unstopablenavyseal Thanks...Glad you liked it.

  • The beadlocks are not plastic on the rtr

  • @feb2271 I know....

  • Hi there!! I'm about to enter this mazing hobby for the first time, and I'm interested nly in rock crawling. I want your opinion on what to buy, I'm from venezuela so we dont get a lot of options, I was offered a HPI Crawler King (they have all the accesories here in the country) and the Axial AX10 Scorpion (havent seen any accesories for this here) I wanted your opinion on which one to buy?? thanks a lot!!!

  • i would recomend converting to a 4 link any way you go i made my own just keep the pinion angel in mind.... helps torque twist.. i spent about 2 hours in the garage last night converting my lowerlinks to a double reverse triangulated system. simply move your lower links to the inside of the chasie. i used a dremil had to pull the motor but thats all. > keeps the tires flexing up and down and not side to side. stops the skateboard effect... rock your crawler side to side to see the effect.

  • @kcdub100 I've been in the hobby and building kits for over 20 years. I did this video for people that just started in crawling. This kit was built stock before I started putting on all my goodies..Like 4 link, brushless setup, BTA steering different tires and wheels, bent links, droop shocks, and all the other stuff I forgot. I just wanted to show the starting guys what to expect out of the kit and a basic setup. But thanks for the tip. I'm sure the watchers will check it out.

  • so the kit comes with EVERYTHING i will need all i have to do is put it together i dont have to buy any thing else besides the kit itself

  • @sexybeastcory13 It' doesn't come with any electronics at all.All you get is the truck. You'd have to buy Motor, ESC, Steering servo,Receiver radio, and battery.

  • @awamrblack so if you didnt want to spend a lot of money an you dont wanna get screwed which one would you buy

  • @sexybeastcory13 If you like building stuff and already have all the electronics.Get the kit.If you have the electronics but don't want or know how to build it. Get the ARTR

the new "Trail ready" is ok but I just like my own electronics in my trucks. That way there's no surprises.I know hoe their going to preform.

  • i have a rtr and it scks wats better 27t or 55t motor help

  • @lglancey33 If you want speed and just to crawl a little and bash the 27t is the way to go. But if you want to get more into full on crawling the 55t is the way to go. Have you done any other mods or upgrades? You can PM me if you want and I can help ya more from there..

  • Can you make a video of how to make your own links with brake line?

  • the beadlocks are not plastic on the RTR

  • @MGTl8l0 Doesn't anyone read other comments anymore?.....LOL I know there not plastic.I made a mistake when I said that.Thanks though.

  • im the owner of a rtr and the original beadlocks are not in plastic they are in metal

  • Yep I know....I say down in the comments that I was wrong about that. Thanks though

  • what do u mean by shorter shocks like 4

  • can u give me a few pointers on wat parts i should upgrade

  • Shocks(shorter shocks like 4"),Top links(make them 4 link),and tires to start.

  • i got the rtr for my first rock crawler i got it like 1 week ago r they alright if u build them up and stuff and where can i get a axial scx10 from with out ordering it online

  • the bedlocks arnt plastic on RTR

  • why would u want to take off the anodizing off of the control arms?

  • Because they all have the green on them. And to make it look different then every other truck out there I striped it off.

  • does the kit version come with the electronics?

  • No it doesn't.

  • k thanx

  • is the punk rc dual steer computer waterproof cause the dig unit by the same people is

  • No it's not water proof.

  • Does it come with very detailed instructions?

  • Yes. They are very detailed.

  • hey man about how much would u spend on everything in total? kit, electronics, etc. thankz, im trying to save up

  • Just depends on what stuff you get for it.Like you can get a kit for $199.00-$239.00.A cheap radio and receiver setup off ebay for 15-20 bucks.A pretty good motor for 15-20.And a half way descent ESC for 20-30 bucks. For example my buddy built one from parts he got off ebay for $268.00 with out shipping. If you want to build one cheap. Ebay is your best friend....lol

  • ok man, well thankz by the way

  • No problem.

  • Nice review i have the ax10 artr and bought a ton of upgrades. my friend bought the rtr to put money into slow but it is a nice truck with a new motor it crawls just fine. and the rtr also comes with the heavy duty lockers in the rear and you have the option to put the front in which we did and also we replaced the sliperclutch with the direct drive unit easy and cheap mods to make a great crawler to start. the aluminum bars for the whole kit to switch is only 50 bucks which is not bad.

  • Great video. Thank you for sharing. Right now I am trying to decide whether to get a Axial or Venom Creeper. What do you guys think?

  • Axial all the way.... The axial has more after market hop up parts for them. The Venom is ok but in my opinion go axial.

  • Yeah if it's RTR it's not for me..BUT if it has to be RTR I change a bunch of stuff on it right off the bat so I feel better about myself buying a RTR.....LOL

  • Awesome review! Thanks for sharing. I just got a secondhand RTR last month, and I'm hooked! One point though - the beadlocks on my RTR were dark grey/black anodised aluminium. They aren't as deep as the kit ones - they don't have the slots. Also it doesn't have the chassis bars running between the tops of the shocks - each top shock bolt has a separate nut.

  • Thanks for the comment.and the info I always thought the bead locks where plastic too.

  • The rtr i have in front of me has aluminum bead locks. Im %100 sure he is wrong on that fact. But he does know some stuff...

  • Yes I know there aluminum. I thought they were plastic but I was wrong.
