I happen to find this stage to be the toughest of all the later levels in the Mega Man series, the bosses can hand you your ass if your not careful.

I think you mean Item-1, but I know what you're talking about.

As for the run... Definitely not SDA material, though you seem to display a basic understanding. Are you using the Anniversary Collection there? (turbofire seems too regular for manual)

Pharaoh Man's stage has an alternate route in the first part by staying in the quicksand part and going all the way to the right. That's how you get the Balloon.

The Wire Adapter is in Dive Man's stage. It's in a spike-lined pit after you defeat the second whale.
