  • Very similar to Dear Prudence by Beatles or Banshees.

  • She looks like george michael here...

  • unfairly neglected is an under statement i was a huge fan i didn even know this came out

thank god im gay and have my finger on someone's pulse

she could defo turn a guy

  • indie in the 90s: damn, we were lucky to experience that...

  • @gosuckafuck I second that, the shit thats out now wouldnt have survived a second back then.

  • Yes I blame rubbish like the spice girls for the end of 90s music like this- the premature end. Now all the good acts don't want to be called ' britpop' . Sorry but the best looking woman from 95 was justine from elastica, who has also stopped music altogether and isn't a addict, shes an architect and shes married too .

  • Ran into Sleeper last night on Pandora. A bit annoyed that the song I liked there is nowhere to be seen on YouTube and the like, but they seem like such a good band that I may actually legitimately purchase some of their songs. xP

  • Where is their song Statuesque?!?!?! Somebody please tell me or post it Please!!!

  • best Sleeper song ever!

  • Great memories. I think the third album was their best. Then they vanished!

  • Im responding to this because I think it is worth mentioning; Sleeper sort of broke up mutually. They played together again a few more times but unlike the Stone Roses or Elastica it was a mutual breakup. Two of bandmembers are teaching; Louise writes books. They can actually sit in the same room together; possibly even do another gig again; a rareity.

  • The hairdresser musta been jealous of her prettiness and gave her a lesbian hairdo

  • I am slightly sceptical of this

  • In your dreams

  • What is going on? Utter disgrace!

  • what year is this??

  • 1997, from the Sleeper album 'Pleased to meet you'

  • Simple tune. Those days, Louise was selected as the most eligible woman in UK.

  • Yeah her books are pretty good. "Goodnight Steve McQueen" I thought was brilliant. Shame she's not singing these days, her voice was really sexy. Hope she's doing alright.

  • me wantee

  • beautiful tune from beautiful times.. i read in an old nme that she became a full time mum... :-(

  • It's better than to become a full time adict)))

  • She even sold her guitars! the '90's are well and truly behind Louise now days. She was well and truly the sexiest woman in 1995, this the third album was a sad truth that it only takes second for it all to stop. I blame the bloody Spice Girls!

  • I blame her hairdresser.

Seriously, Sleeper were a great band, if a little light and frothy.

Thing is, ALL the bands from that period bar Blur and Oasis, died on their arses after 96.

Even Pulp never again enjoyed the highs of that period, despite doing some of their best stuff.

  • Thats what happens if your part of a " movement" - Britpop

was of its time, burnt brightly then blew out.

Don,t worry I,m sure their will be a Britpop reunion in years to come. Everybody else has reformed!!!

  • @wildenfree Dude, these guys never chose to be part of a movement...it was the press that created the whole Britpop thing, the same NME turds of this world that were masturbating over Sleeper and Echobelly only to change their mind and switch to r&b a few years later...but that's journalism for you, Whore-R-us.

  • That stuff only lasts so long, if it's good. She was always a writer struggling to get out. So she got out!Read up on it :-)

  • i used to love her. great band as well. cheers for uploading it

  • memories... louise wener is beautiful :)
