This is not the best way to cut a pineapple. You are wasting so much of it. There is another video that shows a better way. You twist the stem off, cut the bottom and top, but not losing as much and she did. Then you cut it into fourths longways, like two chops in a plus shape, from top to bottom. Then take each piece and cut the edge off that contains the center pulp. Then cut each quarter inside the skin a few times shortways,once center longways and then cut it out of the skin,nothing wasted!

Pineapple doesn't grow only in Brazil. You are probably corrent that Pineapple is Brazil's Native Fruit, but it is grown abundantly in other countries as well and I think it's grow the most is SouthEast Asian Countries. In any case i don't think she meant that Pineapple WAS from Hawaii.Hawaii is often considered a hot vacation spot by American's and it's a popular image that shows those hula girl (or whatever) with pineapples.I don't think she meant they were from Hawaii.
