  • American Bandstand Jr!

  • What if this show were to be hosted by Dick Clark or Don Cornielius?

  • This must have been solely in Chicago, as I dont remember this show at all in my native NY.

  • fuzzymemories.tv/index.php?c=2611&m=#videoclip-3249 just put the w's in front of the link here for more....many some of you can recognize yourselves and send them your id.

    Looky what I just found!

  • where is the rest of these shows? I want to watch more! What a clever idea!

  • A female clown jumping out of a cardboard box. How creepy.

  • @motorcityquig Creepy? Really? You spook easily.

  • @linusvanpelter Not when you have female clowns chasing you with a butcher knife in your nightmares.

  • This has to be the last generation when kids tried to be like adults, rather than the other way around.

I think it's kinda cute. I was a kid at this time, but living in East Texas, where dancing for adults was considered a sin, thanks to all those disgusting shitstain Baptists who don't know how to mind their own fucking business. I would have been on this show, and had a blast, if I'd had the chance!

  • For all you haters, yes pandora is kind of in your face, but she was a seasoned childrens entertainer for many years, as for the gogo dancing I read on a history of chicago tv that Jack her husband, who did most of the puppetwork, and production is a really devoted catholic, regularly frequenting the church. never saw much harm in the funny dances they did at the real wiskey a gogo, and did not know what all the trouble was about.

well just read it for yourself, she was not a nasty person.

  • Great show!

  • geez i watched at my home on cly borne street in chi-town in 1967 there.. on wciu tv 26 what a deal with garfield goose . i and my brother grown up with there .UGH now i dont know ?? they have saturday cartoons but they are cooky jar tv and qubo there and the "hub" .. geez what can i say??

  • That WAS an important message.

  • I danced on this show when I was around 12 in 1966 or 1967. It was a blast except for all the grief I took from my male classmates. I had a crush on a girl who took tap dancing lessons and when her school was invited on the show they needed boys to appear with them. So I went and stood on the riser and did the monkee and the swim. What fun! I'd love to get my hands on the tape of my appearance, just for grins. Anyone know how?

  • What a brilliant idea for a show. Where is the rest of it?

  • I just wanna tell that broad to lower her voice! Not only is she annoying but LOUD as hell! What is a 35 year old soccer mom with teeth like Mr. Ed doing on a hip show like this? If I was a kid at the time this was on, she would have scared the hell out of me.

  • @SUPERDOOPERTUBER I'm 52 and she scares the crap out of me. She looks like she would have had a temper.

  • @SUPERDOOPERTUBER She was full of "pep".

  • This is amazing! I never realized that Ghoul A-Go-Go was a parody. Is there more of this show on tape? Like, hours and hours of it? Please say yes.

  • Dear JimYar,

This is not the first time that a teens music and dance tv show was cancelled by a damn, stupid tv exec.Soupy Sales' "Soupy's Soda Shop"was also unjustly dropped by a jerk-! of a tv exec.

  • Dear Toon A Rama,

I hate to tell you this..but..Mr.Okuda's book"The Golden Age Of Chicago Children's Television"is not available right now.

  • How did the kids dancing in the studio get those"Kiddie A Go Go"t shirts? Did they buy them..or did the Mulqueens give them those t shirts?

  • Mrs.Mulqueen looks like a clown dressed in that outfit.

  • My God! I didn't know that Mrs.Mulqueen("Pandora" of "Kiddie A Go Go!")is still alive.

  • My mom says she used to put this show on for me when I was a kid. Made me who I am :)

  • I wonder if Mrs.Mulqueen is still alive?

  • @143AC Pandora is still alive, I see her now and then at various conventions here in Chicago.

  • Damn the butcher hiding behind the meat in the opening is S-C-A-R-Y! I wonder if his name was Cleaver?

  • i must be old to remember this. time for me to die

  • @DABEARS1088 I'll join you... I danced on it.

  • Mickelberry Meats Inc. was also the sponsor of"12 O'Clock Comics!"/"Lunch With Soupy Sales!"(The Local WXYZ TV Ch.7 Detroit,Mi Version).

  • Dear Reggie, It's true! Local kids shows like The Bob McAllister version of

WNEW TV Ch.5 NYC's"Wonderama!" and The WHDH TV(WCVB)TV Ch.5 Bostton,Ma version of"Bozo's Big Top"had a R&R dance and music segment..but? "Kiddie A Go Go!"was the only R&R dance & Music tv program made for little kids..and not for teens.

  • WTF is up with her TEETH? Damnation she is ugly.

  • I remember having to escort my two younger sisters to this show back in 1964 or 1965. I believe the studio was in The Merchandise Mart in downtown Chicago. Painful.

  • Lots of local TV shows had their own kids' dance programs. WNEW New York had a segment of "Wonderama" called the Go-Go Cellar. That's where I first heard The Miracles' "Going To A Go-Go".

  • @reggie44 do you know if they of that is posted? I'd love to see more.

  • @reggie44 I love to those archives too!

  • Nice! The preteen set. What's the 'Popeye'?!?

  • Groovy

  • this show is evil! !wicked and satanic!!!

  • I remember when there was a huge explosion at the Mickleberry's processing plant in Chicago.

  • Eagle-eyed folks might spot the same stands as used in WGN's Bozo's Circus.

  • I have fond memories of this show. I first saw folksinger Jim Post on this; it was over thirty years later I realized where I had first seen him.

  • Too bad the show ended like it did, just because some t.v. executive didn't like go-go dancing

  • Pandora is terrifying flying around in that box.
