Your F chord isn't right. I usually play it like this: A-3, D-3, G-2, B-1 (try to avoid hitting either of the E's). Or you could play the power chord which is Low E-1, A-3, D-3.

I've played my friend's original gibson les paul, and i currently own the epiphone goth les paul. and in my humble opinion, the goth is almost if not as good as the gibson and about 3gs cheaper. so, if you want my advise, go for the epiphone :}

in order to improve the sound of your F you will need to bar your index finger on the first fret (all strings) and your pinkie should lay on the third fret below your ring finger on the string below
