@DoctorD821 i think its supposssed to use misdirectiong to make you wonder who is the person who makes the candle go out. that person might be representing death itself. you are supposed to think that it is the woman at first, i think, and in doing so you sympathize with the seemingly innocent janitor. but as it turns out, as revealed in the last segment of the music video, the janitor is death. im still trying to figure it out too, but this is what i have so far.

To be catchy a song simply needs a strong groove and/or melody that sticks in the mind, any form of music can have this, even if it is non commercial or dark in nature. A lot of melodic death metal is very catchy instance, listen to Amon Amarth for example, they have lots of catchy grooves and melodies in their songs.
