whats so incredible about it. its not even that catchy. ministry work for love is better. people shoudnt be aloud to make half ass music. I blame record labels for that.
Classic lyrics "I admire a girl with all her own teeth!"
I remember buying the 12" of this (which was exactly the same as the track off technique) and the remixed 12" by Ste Hurley, which was just totally vacuous, pretty intense stuff - oh the joys of the Quadrant Park!
technique ultimate feel good album, you feel shit put technique on you feel better then carry on with the humdrum tedium knowing nobody will make music this good ever again!
OMFG blast from the past. i was a student at this time. was never into the "manchester" thing, but i reckon New Order reached out beyond that anyway. Top band, top tune. Nice one
Dude, don't apologize for the picture quality. It's so cool to have seen this video for the first time, thanks to you! Love the track. One of my top 5 New Order songs of all time.
You're much too young To be a part of me Too young To get a hold on me You're much too young You're much too young You're much too young To mess around with me Hey You know I've met a lot of cool chicks But I've never met a girl with all her own teeth That's why I love you babe
That's why we could be But you're too young Too young The past doesn't matter (12x) Hey Sophisticated lady You know I've met a lot of cool chicks But you've got style You've got class But most of all You've got love technique.
Simply my favorite song from technique for so many reasons. But, wow, nothing like tamcon72 mentioned. Two views from very different reference points come to the same conclusion. Rock on Tam!
Yeah, i remember a Channel 4 docco, about 1990 or so, Barney said that they went to Ibiza for some fun, discovered e's, and spent weeks whacked out of their noggins while writing/recording Technique. Never me favourite album, but worth having in the rack all the same. Give me PC&L any day.
This one of my favorite New Order songs. Mostly because of the skeezy dirty-old-man-dueling-with-his-bad-side spoken word parts. Maybe you had to have been a pubescent girl with a few readings of "Lolita" behind her when this was released to truly appreciate it.
"You know I've met a lot of cool chicks, but you got style and you've got class, but most of you've got LOVE TECHNIQUE" That phrase is just fucking HOT!
Setting aside the awful Hi-NRG mistake that is 'Round and Round', New Order's 'Technique' album where "Fine Time" comes from is amazing on every level. Not just great and great moody music, it manages to be an album made up on a good scale of lovely, lovely, serious, acid house tracks to listen to, not just for clubs. Really great listening is this album - I recommend it to anyone, even if the words "Acid House" put you off. It's really human, like most of New Order's electric / accoustic pieces
Not that I want to limit what you can listen to. It does get me though that some clubs don't tell you at the door "You know you'll be listening only to hard, percussive noises with nearly no melodies and few harmonies in 5 hours?"
I'm just listening to "Round and Round" again. I was a bit harsh. I suppose it can be quite nice, often not just my cup of tea. Not nice if played repeatedly I guess.
I always think of Acid House when I hear this - it was strongly in the Acid House scene to me in the late 80s. A great piece.
You mention "techno", enagyb. The pre-house music techno was often poppy, sometimes simple and machine sounding. House music techno changed a lot. Though there was a lot of early, great, techno from the house scene, hardly any of recent techno music is actually music.
Music should be listenable. Why not spend spare time in a factory if you like "industrial" sounds?
i only knew bizarre love triangle true faith and blue monday and til know they are the best club songs ever ...but then i started to listen to all the other stuff they have and theyre just amazing new order is my favorite band of all time ...if you like new order u MUST listen to their 12 inch music is just another world bealive me is just new order on a higher level
I raved about this back in 1989 and my mates thought i was a twat, but now it's even fresher nearly 20 years on. What a song to have really have hard core sex to..
crazy song...when i feel like disturbing the neighbours I turn on the Technics 1200 put on the record and let the bass of this song show them that I can be louder then their stupid kids which they let run in the hallways screaming
Great Classic tune...the soundtrack for any rave until this day. KILLER!!!

in a lot of new order videos on you tube there
are tiny sequences of the video TRUE FAITH visible ??
