  • Lawrence Welk and his tiny bubble band would be awesome at red rocks!! Any show at the rocks is worth the price of admission!

  • never been..meaning Colorado Red Rocks Been a deadhead seems like all my life! saw them in 1967, danced onstage in 1969, played with Bob Weir for a two-nighter...believe me, the band is pure Good Karma and i experienced it firsthand when i was 19 years old in 1969! and i love all y'all for the love you send

  • Love that intro! Pure mixolydian

  • i wuz there :) (red rocks and telluride)

  • loved the shows at the rainbow in london early eighties

    happy days

  • I was there stayed in Chief Hosa campground, we could not get tickets but climbed up the hill each night for a mountain side seat, snuck in in my car buried under tie-dyes while two younger gals with tickets drove us into the lot. Someone died in the campground and they did Knockin on heavens door one night, didn't make it to Telluride but we went to Phoenix, then onto Calveras county with Santana, over to Berkely saw Jerry and Bonnie then up to Garberville to see Jerry on the eel great summer

  • @jimsgreenberg dudeeeeeee...i've been there. so surprised you heard the same thing!

  • mrjballzz you have said it. It matters not who you see in Jerry's house. Just go. I was at this show and so many more at Red Rocks. It's purely a magical place.

  • You havent lived until you have seen a show at Red Rocks

  • I was also here and can't believe you have captured my entire tour history! Thank you!!

  • I love this... thank you!! I am looking up videos to shows I went to and you have this! :)

  • What a superb performance!!!!!

  • Hey, I was there too! And, survived camping at The Chief Hosa camp grounds which are off limits now to Red Rock concert goers.........!!!!!......let's just say that around the porta-potties there, 1,000 deadheads over a weeks time made our own "black muddy river"....lol......TRUTH!

  • I was backstage at this show!

  • These final shows at Red Rocks were the halcyon days of my youth! Set out from Chicago for the Summer Tour that ended with Calaveras California with Santana! God it was so hot--literally and figuratively! I remember at Red Rocks someone had built a fire up on the hill and they did "Fire On The Mountain'! Then Telluride for the Harmonic Convergence and they miffed "Brokedown Palace"--Jerry stopped it and said "We're in the wrong fuckin' key" and Phil said "Professionalism, folks!" Priceless!

  • @09jackstraw Sounds like fun my friend! Unfortunately I'm a little too young to have gotten to see Jerry play, but at least there's Furthur shows to go to I guess. Not the same, but some of that spirit is still there. At least the only piece of it I'll ever know personally.

Would love to get out to Red Rocks sometime too, looks like an amazing place to be.

  • @09jackstraw --- yep.....yep......LMAO............we paid our dues on that tour in Phoenix......120 degrees in the SHADE, literally\!..........the drive up over and past The Grand Canyon up towards Park City was simply incredible! Magical land, man........oh, yeah, Park City.....who hoo those were HOT as well, the shows, not the weather!

  • @09jackstraw --- yep.....yep......LMAO............we paid our dues on that tour with the Tempe leg outside Phoenix......120 degrees in the SHADE, literally!..........The drive up over and past The Grand Canyon up towards Park City was simply incredible! Magical land, man........oh, yeah, Park City.....who hoo those were HOT as well, the shows, not the weather!

  • @tiedyekeith Sure enough! I remember it was so hot pulling into Tempe we saw a body of water and just pulled over and dove in, think it was like a golf course or something. Tempe was also the first time I saw real brutality by cops and security on heads which only slightly detracted from the magic. The trip back to Chicago was filled with talking about the wonderful memories we made and people we met. Man, those were some times! Glad you got to dig them too!

  • @09jackstraw Hi You do not know me or do we?I flew from Pittsburgh,Pa int "Mile High w/ my & our 2 kids. My friends who live in Telluride own the "Fly Me to the Moon Saloon", I was lucky enough to get a car pass and pitch our tent in their back yard. The bar had a spring loaded dance floor & not only did the dance floor bounce, but the Dead heads had every wooden deck that went completely around the place was jumping too! I lost count around 250 shows, my first Valentines Day in Oakland,CA. FUN!

  • @mumzey29 Well we certainly may have crossed paths! I saw maybe 75 or so shows all through the '80s, Alpine, Chicago, moved out west in 89 so many in California too. I was the guy in front with a tye-dye on and funny looking eyes--remember? Ha! Fine memories, huh? Wouldn't trade 'em for anything and I bet you feel the same. Peace brother.

  • would have loved to see the dead there, seen skynyrd and doobie brothers there.

  • I was just at Red Rocks less than 2 weeks ago, i ♥ the DEAD :D
