i loved this band right from start ,and had the pleasure of seeing them play live, they had a very different sound to anybody else at that time, i dont know if there has been any re-mix's of their stuff ? could be quite interesting or maybe some things are best left as they are.
Tony Mansfield rules! Lovely stuff. A brilliant track from the 3rd and last NM album 'Warp'. I have a treasured vinyl copy and a Japanese CD re-issue (that cost a small fortune) - but believe it, the vinyl sounds better than the CD on my hi-fi! The track posted here ends abruptly since it segues straight into 'I Repeat' an even catchier track that follows it on the album. Do not even think about NOT buying any of the New Musik albums if you get the chance. First two are obtainable on CD now.
@phloralhall I totally agree with you! They are perfects masters of song building. Unfortunately forgotten and unknown. I have all 3 lp's and the From A to B and Anywhere CD. Never find the Warp CD and I know that it has only a japanese edition of it. Somebody should honor them with the 3 lp's and cd's re edition since it's a crime that perfect music like these is so unknown...
Oh my goodness , give whoever posted this a sainthood!!! This was the perfect marriage of early 80's "new wave synth" and funk! Bizarre and brilliant!!! That synth drum roll still sends shivers down my spine that should have stopped many moons ago!
This is it

One of their best songs and they did a lot, love the bassy synth and the chord progressions throughout the song. Punchy sound

'In black and white.'
Love the sample and hold synth in this track and that bass of course!

Mechanical as a robot track. I really loved this song since the first ancient listening.
I've got the fortune to keep in my archive both: the lp and the rare cd "Warp", where this song is taken from.
New Musik have to reform. Absolutely.
