Yeah I'm really more into Thrash and Groove than Death, but my friends got me into it too. Yeah CC is not that tecnical but they do have a kick ass bass player, I think Death is a much more better band than CC when it comes to Death Metal.
Testament is fucking awesome, I think "Legion of the Damned" is pretty fucking brutal if you asked me, then again if I want brutal I go for Cannibal Corpse. Don't get me wrong, Exodus and Destruction are amazing as well.

Ok, so I decided to investigate this matter myself. I examined some tabs I found online, and I've concluded that these two riffs are exactly alike, right down to the rhythm. How could Mark and Willie blatantly steal that very distinct note pattern, and think that they could slip it past the thousands of vigilant Pantera fans such as yourself? This has really opened my eyes. I don't think I could ever look at Lamb of God the same.

Bhayanak Maut is influenced by Lamb of God/Slayer, which is nothing wrong. They arent ripping off their music.

Testament is fucking awesome, I think "Legion of the Damned" is pretty fucking brutal if you asked me, then again if I want brutal I go for Cannibal Corpse. Don't get me wrong, Exodus and Destruction are amazing as well.

If the band sucks, it sucks no matter what country it is from. And if it is from your country, then you should be ashamed. In my country, there's just ONE (fuck, ONE) metal band that has videos on youtube, and all they do is rip off Maiden, priest, dio and Aria. But i'm not gonna worship them just because they're the only thing we have.

i don't refer to it as stealing unless the songwriter intentionally used a riff they already knew existed.
And most of the riffs on another lamb of god 'lulz rif steelaaz' vid were mostly minor riffs, apart from laid to rest which was simular to testements riffs only difference being lamb of god > testement

BTW: black label and walk both have this same riff 1-0-3-0-4-0 (or something similar, i cant tell exactly without my guitar in hand). Black label is exactly the same as that part of walk. There's not even the slightest difference in the notes played or the order or rhythm.

Ok, so I decided to investigate this matter myself. I examined some tabs I found online, and I've concluded that these two riffs are exactly alike, right down to the rhythm. How could Mark and Willie blatantly steal that very distinct note pattern, and think that they could slip it past the thousands of vigilant Pantera fans such as yourself? This has really opened my eyes. I don't think I could ever look at Lamb of God the same.
Btw, Walk is one of the most mediocre songs I've ever heard.

Dude ! jus cuz some of the parts are same doesnt mean theyr a ripoff maan ! when u call some bands for eg lamb of god or slayer as ur inspiration...subconciously some of the really cool riffs and interludes do creep into ur own songs juz because u first found log and slayer killer and that was the reason u picked up the instrument,thus subconciously some of the stuff does kinda gets the same...kuz theyr the bands that made u wanna pickup the instrument !

Dude tell you what BM lists LoG as inspiration. But this is so similar. Infact i had talked about Boiled Filatured being a rip off with my pal long time back when i heard it at a BM gig. And guess what they even copy Dillinger Escape Plan. But you cant help it can you? Basically everything ironically is a rip off from Black Sabbath songs! Lamb of God are gods so nothing bad in ripping. Not all the BM songs are copy though!

both riffs you've taken are simple 8/8s and the only involve open notes... i can name a million other bands with this style of progression... they are fairly typical riffs and to believe a band would actually rip stuff off is dumb... do you really think they sit around and say "hmmmm this is a nice riff of slayers.. lets put it in our song!!!"... get a life man...
