Why? This was probably due to high competition for nest sites. The real problem is the pressure placed on these birds from non-native cavity nesters like house sparrows and starlings.

That's terrible, bluebirds seem to have a hard time especially in the wild.

@haney8106 Especially in the wild?  As opposed to what? In a cage? Bluebirds are wild birds, right? They live in the wild.

@zeze40video as opposed to in the wild where no one is around or in a persons yard where they could help them with housing predators etc. Am I wrong???
