Stock p06 ecu should not rev further than 6700 rpms. Open up the ecu to see if its chipped. Check what kind of piping you have, 2"-2.25" piping is all you need. Your best bet is to get it tuned for way more power and performance. Trust me, you will feel the difference once its tuned right. Good luck with your build and post some vids when everythings good to go!
ya i know i dont wana take it to high with stock valve train lol but i guess i got a stock ecu p06 my car does good though lol i beat a b17 gsr lol and keep up with a b18c5 gsr til 40 then get smash on lol i would think be modded but maybe i just got a y8 cam gear header cai straight pipe i guess its stock lol
Stock redline on a d15b7 is 6500. I wouldn't take it past 7000 bcuz it doesn't make enough power past that. You should also make sure that you have upgraded springs and retainers if you plan to go past 7000rpm.
the ecu lol i shift passed 7000 some times and it seems fine with it i bet it could hit 8k fine but i dont want to take any chances blowing up on me.. so stock redline on the d15b7 is 6000 right?
A rev limiter as in 2step launch control or redline limiter? For a chipped ecu I would have it set to 7000 redline and a shiftlight set to 6500-6800 rpms.
Nice pickup on that modded d15b7. Check the ecu if its chipped, or you can pull the cam out and check to see if its aftermarket or not. Did it also come with aftermarket cam gear? If its a a6 camshaft it should have a y8 cam gear. If its idling rough then that could also be vaccum leak.
na i just bought a hatch for 500 bucks already modded d15b7 so i dont know what cam it has but its probably not stock it idles slighty up and down a lil bit
