  • Father Ralph:

HOT DAMN MY LITTLE MEGGIE IS ALL GROWED UP!!! I WANT TO HIT THAT SO BAD< WAIT I"M A PRIEST! I"LL WAIT A FEW YEARS UNTIL SHE IS MARRIED TO A JERK AND ALONE ON A BEACH WEARING A HOT BATHING SUIT AND JUMP HER BONES AND HAVE HOT FORBIDDEN SEX FOR A FEW DAYS AND NOT GIVE A DAMN ABOUT THE CHURCH!!!! YEAH! DAMN IT SUCKS TO BE A PRIEST SOMETIMES. I BETTER STOP LOOKING AT HER LIKE THAT AT THIS PARTY!

  • that was real love, the old movies were really pasionated

  • The best ever tv series..this is one of my favorite scene.Love work in so different ways

who is to judge certain circomstance in life.I would like to see this movie again.

  • what a movie............

  • ..never never can forget this . . . . . .

  • A very nice, lovely soundtrack and one of the best series ever.

  • aaaahh why doesn't this kind of things happen in real life (snif).......i would of preferd to be a fictional character like maggie ........

  • @noisette91 oh these things happen in real life, don't worry...I'm in a situation- quite like Meggie's. It's not a priest I love but he's older and our love just can't be- it's impossible. You just have to open your eyes, then you'll see that life will show you your own story, which is much more interesting and dramatic as a novel =)

  • @noisette91 - If it does be cautious - there may be a flaw in the priest disposition.

Church allow men to join the priesthood - but they don't prepare them for problems along the way. It takes a strong person - devoted type to stay faithful to their vows.

  • @castalia60able oh he doesn't have to be a preist, i am muslim so a relationship with any man of a diffrent religion may be more dramatic than most of the books that have been written or the movies that have been made...i'm just sayin that i would love to have someone who looks at me with the same adoration...but as we say "careful what you wish for"

  • Incredibly beautiful series, anyone know how this song called? please

  • This movie makes me puke. A gay priest gets the best looking gal. Henry Mancini's theme on the other hand, now that's different.

  • excelente!! supremo!!! amo esta serie y ese tema....

  • Couldn't have chosen two more perfect lead actors for this Mini Series. Oh to be Meggie Cleary. Even though she had limited time with the love of her life-devotion

  • I was a child romantic then....I am an adult romantic now.....and this mini-series still moves my soul. Thanks for the post.

  • What woman would not want to be admired like that from far across a room? It is an awesome feeling!!!

  • @mfatimazora One that see's an ugly dude doing the admiring. lol.

  • @Balenza345 Actually, it has happened to me before he was neither ugly or beautiful. It is an awesome feeling.

  • This scene makes me go all funny. The music is awesome and the acting is fantastic. My favourite film EVER!!!!!!

  • I love this film and this scene makes me cry with happiness.

  • You can just FEEL the sexual tension in this scene.....

  • WHAT A GORGEOUS WOMAN!

  • @ephiras WHAT A GORGEOUS MAN!

  • @wayneboatwright maybe it is a gorgeous man, but he belongs to God

  • @withhe In reality, don't we all? However, I wasn't specifically speaking of the role of Catholic priest that Chamberlain plays in the film. I was speaking of Chamberlain, the individual, who happens to be gay. But gay or straight, he is still a gorgeous man.

  • at @0:08 we see q from star trek :P

  • i love this scene and love the song it been my favorite movie sence the early 1980s when it came out i fell in love with richard chamberlain too

  • favorite love story!!!

  • I was 15 when the show first aired in France, where I was living. It was all the rage among kids my age and under, and of course among millions of adults across the country. No one of my own generation or close to it ever forgot it.

  • Shame this music isnt available without the background noise

  • @limbumog The music is available.....I have the soundtrack.........I love it.

  • so beautiful music

  • Это классика и это прекрасно.

  • Hồng tro của tôi...

  • очень хороший фильм и все эпизоды в нем шедевры

  • Hammersley...if you're not able to move forward in time beyond about the 1950's...that's your problem. If a 1980's miniseries is not to your taste and is something that you consider dreadfully immoral and horribly filthy...then it's simply *an old show which you don't like or approve of*. If you consider it "filth" then why are you still watching it and posting about it? You are not new here. You were given ample opportunity to learn all these things *last year*. Please graduate from preschool.

  • Hammersley, they're not even DOING anything in THIS video except having "sinful" THOUGHTS. This is not anything to report unless it's being posted at a church or something. When are you going to learn that YouTube ALLOWS stuff which is *much more explicit* than ANYTHING in The Thorn Birds? (Furthermore, the miniseries is twenty-six years old. NOBODY except an EXTREME fanatic would consider it particularly scandalous or threatening NOW. If you think it's so wrong, then simply QUIT WATCHING it.)

  • Oh, not Hammersley AGAIN.

Please get a life, Hammersley (before somebody reports YOU to YouTube).

(I already told you over a year ago, YOUTUBE ALLOWS this kind of stuff. If you object to seeing it, then simply don't look at it. Please feel free to just go find another website that is clean enough for you. NOT ALL decent people consider this sort of thing filth. Why on earth are you STILL talking about reporting things to YouTube that you *were already clearly told* are OKAY WITH YouTube?)

  • I would have taken the girl :P

  • This was one of my favorite parts.

  • oh wow! i remember watching this with my mum when i was 10! great mini-series

  • To 4everro: I remember watching this with my mom when I was 11 and a half. ^_^ (She even let me read the book before the miniseries was out. ^_^) (There, now Hammersley can whine/moan about parents exposing "this filth" to children, and about people like us not knowing any better because we were already corrupted in our infancy. ^_~)

    ^__^

  • Father Ralph was so ambitious and he made Meggie suffer great misery.I think so.

  • You are correct, he said this before he died, he wanted to be Cardinal more than he wanted love more than his own son.

  • THE ONE AND ONLY ! ! !

  • And singing, it impales itself on the longest, sharpest thorn. But, as it dies, it rises above its own agony, to outsing the lark and the nightingale. The thorn bird pays its life for just one song, but the whole world stills to listen, and God in his heaven smiles.

  • There's a story... a legend, about a bird that sings just once in its life. From the moment it leaves its nest, it searches for a thorn tree... and never rests until it's found one. And then it sings... more sweetly than any other creature on the face of the earth.

  • I love those looks from Ralph.

  • this is the best scene and no other piece of music can suit it any better !! **tear**

  • i love this part....love the Thorn Birds!

  • This is and will always be my very favorite movie of All time!!

  • the music maes it, havent said that i love ralph

  • lovely! Almost cry

  • Beautiful song. Beautiful bittersweet love story. Mancini has a knack for dreamy music that I abolutely love. Haunting, as well.

Thanks for putting this up. =)
