To all uses do not buy windows 7 its a cut down vista. Stick with xp because at the moment MS do not know what good or bad xp is the best o/s. If they made longhorn it would have been the best if the release it. It looks so cool and nice. For that guy taking all the Windows 95 disk its because when 95 came out it was the first windows to have a graphical interface

If you "knew" Longhorn, you'd know it's now Vista and is stable. Trust me. I've been using the RTM since Nov. 2006. Only crashes were due to an old program tweaking out on DirectX 10

It's widows vista ultimate 2010 service pack 2 which will be released in october of 2027. It will included clones of features from os 12 and 14. Sadly mac users would care because they'll be using os 19 by then!

I feel I should at least try to clear some things up. to start off no this video is not a fake, it has come directly from a MS rep to a MS Presenter to myself. Many people forget to realise that Windows Vista itself only took 18-24months to develop - yet it took 5 years to complete. Do the math... That is where this version came into play, I presume this was an early Alpha release of Longhorn but was then scrapped in favour of a more Vista look and feel.

they didn't release it because it never existed, this was a concept, a bunch of ideas brought together about what they were putting into the O/S, in 2005 they had a few Longhorn builds but decided all the extra features were causing too many delays, and it was buggy, so they started again...
