Ok so my parents are the same way, When I told them I was dropping out of college they each separately told me that I should do this, or I should try this, and best of all was don't give up on college (I had a 0.2 gpa I liked to sleep in way too much) but then I joined the army and well that wasn't the best decision I have ever made, but it pays I am still trying to achieve my goals of becoming an astronaut, rockstar novelist as well as a physicist , and genetic engineer... welcome to my life...

honestly, my mum got laid off about six years ago from a job she had been working at for 16 years. it was weird, and she was all upset for a while. anyway, she totally ended up getting a completely different career, and loves it. she had never done anything like it before, but it interested her and she went ahead with it. what i am trying to say is that this could be the best thing that has ever happened to you. Especially if what you were doing before didn't really float your boat that much.

I was looking around on iTunes this morning and I came across a movie called "I Really Hate My Job." i had to take a psychology class for my teaching degree, that required some studying on my part but it was interesting all what i learned. I wish you the best in finding out what you want to do.
Oh and if you do decide to go the stripper route, my birthdays in november.. ill pay big bucks.

Haha... Luckily, most of my earlier photos are in scrapbooks - not sitting out to haunt me when I go home! Still scary though when they decide to get those out... I sort of got laid off a few months ago... And my parents told me to go to school for massage therapy. At least that is something I've wanted to do - so I start in a couple of weeks. What did your parents tell you to do?

I'm friends with a stripper. She makes about $900 a week, all off the books. No benefits whatsoever though. And, apparently, rubbing up against fat, old strange men doesn't bother her. The last thing is what prevents most women from exploiting that particular economic niche.
