  • Thank you for this video. I'm going to try an elimination diet starting today.

  • This video is spot on. I am a 63 year old veterinarian who has been working out since 1959 and studying nutrition since 1965. I know my body. Over the past few years I began to notice peculiar symptoms. For one, I felt tingling on the skin at random spots on my body. It felt about the way it feels if a fly lands on me. I had digestive problems. I had sinus problems. Then I began to notice extreme muscle stiffness. Extreme. On a hunch, I stopped gluten for a week. I was cured completely. No lie.

  • I am thinking of leaving gluten completely. I have autoimmune thyroid disease and lots of bowel problems, and the medication those lousy doctors gave me doesn't work. Now I have narrowed it down to Celiac

If I give it up, what foods can I replace it with? My entire diet is basically Gluten. Will I have to just eat raw vegetables or what? (This is a serious question. I honestly don't know what else I could eat...)

  • should I eat bread?

  • @advertclerk I don't know if I am gluten intolerant but I have learnt to cut back on bread. Bread makes me fat and tired, that much I have figured out. I eat a lot less bread.

  • @advertclerk Ezk 24:22 And ye shall do as I have done: ye shall not cover [your] lips, nor eat the bread of men.

  • Look forward to the next videos on this topic :)

  • I may have that, cause I have too much gases in my intestine, heartburns and problems with my intestine. It sucks.............

  • I am gluten intolerant. It does take months to eradicate it from the system, but one does feel improvement in a few weeks. It is hard to completely get it out of one's regular habits as basicly everything that tastes good has gluten in it [not really, just the bready stuff]. But its the hidden gluten that is tough. Its in the places you wouldn't think of, but they affect the system. I am glad this is getting more coverage.

  • When I ingest gluten it tends to make my breasts enlarge.

  • Isn't it called Celiac Disease? I should know. I have it.

  • milf

  • well it seems to be recieving some negative responses ? but I have to say its very interesting to me! ;]]]

  • its so gay and wrong. those so called "experts" don't even have an education. Like half of youtube this is SCAM!!!!

  • @vaidotas86 Half of YouTube is a scam, but which half?

  • WOW SHE BACKPEDDLES says 3 to 9 months then says only 2 weeks

  • BULLSHIT! Every decade there is something these health experts want us to avoid or "beware" of. Remember 10 years ago when carb free was the way to be? Who cares now? Nobody, early 90's high fiber was the rage and now all of a sudden BAM,so much effort is going into being gluten free and consuming acai berries. Talk about a real intolerance like lactose intolerance or crustaceans. Eat your daily bread CHRISTIANS.

  • @sadetwizelve How do you distinguishes the "real" intolerance from the the "not real" intolerance?

  • @sadetwizelve Excuse me, but the real point about gluten is that it's a chemical compound that is being altered by mass production, chemical pesticides being sprayed on the crops to produce the food that we are eating. Whatever happened to eating real food? Why must we eat things like "oatmeal squares" instead of baking an oatmeal crisp, or even a bowl of oatmeal? It's seriously a problem related to our food production that's eradicating the need to prepare our own food and we're paying for it.

  • @kaileikehe I agree. I find it so hard to find natural 'clean' food these days and ever since trying to eat more healthy i realise there is so much chemicals in the everyday food we eat. Even when reading the ingredients, a lot of the things have been processed while in it's natural form that are not stated. It is expensive to only purchase organic products and not everything is available that way. I hope more organic companies start up in the future to lower costs.

  • @sadetwizelve I do hate the health fad stuff, 'gluten free' makes me think of poncy yuppy twits who drive carbon neutral hybrid cars.

The fact is people are dieing of every type of cancer and what ever else and people want to stay healthy. Clearly something seems to be wrong but what exactly? If the world is as overpopulated as they say then perhaps it is wrong to try and stay alive? Perhaps it's our duty to stop whining about feeling a bit lack luster and work/party until we drop dead?

  • @RavenPrecept our world isn't over populated...That is a myth! Maybe some cities have been over populated due to the work being concentrated within that area, but the world isn't over populated. Especially with all of the killing going on across the globe every second of the day.

  • @RavenPrecept Hey, I hate "poncy yuppy twits" as much as the next guy, but if removing gluten from my diet improves my health, or driving a hybrid is really better for the environment, I'm going to do it, no matter what others think of me. Avoiding a sensible change just to avoid seeming like a hipster is just as pretentiously irrational as trying to be one. Do what's genuinely right, and damn the fads, and the fad of rejecting fads.

  • @sadetwizelve I use to think exactly like you until i started getting ill from certain foods. There are actual people suffering from this and for all the ill people, research into these things such as gluten intolerance matters to them because no one enjoys being sick.

For everyone else who feels fine go ahead and eat your gluten but don't bash the health experts who are trying to help and inform the ones who don't feel so great.

  • You're right,I have lactose intolerance and appreciate dairy products labeled "lactose free". It doesn't affect everybody but it's conveniant for the people who are. I'm very sorry.@t07061988

  • @sadetwizelve your an idiot !!

  • my mum and nan have gluten intolerance..

  • do nuts have gluten?

  • @jklfds85 No

  • @jklfds85 No

  • @jklfds85 They can if they are processed in machines that process other products that contain gluten. Otherwise they are gluten free. An easy way to be sure is to but nuts in the shell like pistachios, peanuts and walnuts. Nuts in the shell stay fresh longer and taste better. Old nuts are bad for you because the oil is rancid.

  • Excellent! I look forward to your instructional videos on hidden gluten and how to eliminate it.

  • Actually drugs are the last resort. And yes it's real. Take it from someone with ADD.

  • I focus on having pasta and bread made from varying ingredients such as quinoa, brown rice, buckwheat, and teff.

  • Stopping gluten didn't help my kids at all. It just doubled my food bill for six months when I wasn't earning.

  • That was very informative. If Gluten is so bad for us then why doesn't the FDA or W.H.O. step in and ban it to protect our health like they did monosodium glutamate?

  • @capman911 We do not need BIG GREEDY GOVERNMENT TO RULE US OR CONTROL OUR CHOICES...educate yourself and avoid unhealthy foods its that simple! Worry about your health and do not infringe on the rights and freedoms of others who choose to eat unhealthy foods. Government creates much more problems then solving them and many times allows far more dangerous products to us and the enviroment to enter the market because of legislation rather then let the market decide. VOTE WITH YOUR POCKETBOOK!!

  • @goldsilverandiamonds I think you for your reply. But I am not trying to infringe on any ones rights. Simply making a comment like every one else.

  • Good Info. How about a list of snacks that people w/ Gluten Intolerance can tolerate?

So many people these days have multiple sensitivities, from Gluten to Food Colors, different Preservatives, Dairy, MSG....the list goes on & on including GMO Corn, and other crops, not to mention pesticide & chemical residues.

Basic meal info like on your site is good, but many people need some type of non-toxic Gluten Free, snack food(s) w/out Fructose or Sucrose...Now That Would Be A VERY Useful Video.

  • thanks

  • I would like to hear more regarding your autistic son.

I'm celiac and been gluten free since I was a child, although it's still very tricky to stay 100% gluten free, especially when eating out.

I am currently working with autistic people and wondering if it's worth mentioning this information to others and possibly trying gluten free with some of the people I look after.

How bad was his autism and how well is he now?

Also, what is your stance on vaccines?

  • Thanks for the info.

  • ADD and ADHD are not real conditions..

  • @degauss22ro1:

Respectfully, ADD/ADHD are real conditions. If you've ever worked with genuine cases you would know.

The Problem: It's become a 'Garbage Diagnosis' made by medically untrained people with an agenda.

Any child who doesn't fit in to the regimented public school system, is bored in class, talks back to teacher, or, can't sit still in boring lectures = Magic Diagnosis: "ADD/ADHD". Then insist the child takes Rx Drugs.

The condition is real, but uncommon.

    Misdiagnoses is not.

  • @YuJinLong This person talking is a medically untrained bimbo

  • @degauss22ro1 ADD and ADHD are real conditions. They are not caused by foods or drinks or Gluten. It is passed down in the genes of families from chemical imbalances in the brain similar to depression as a reference. People that has never had it, sure they don't believe in it. I see by your profile your a student. If the teacher told you the world was flat would you just accept that or investigate that maybe he is wrong. I have it my mother had it and my two children have it. Peace bro.

  • @capman911 I think the only thing passed from generation to generation is behavior including eating behavior thus they are caused by the diet witch creates the chemical imbalance and are not transferred genetically there for ADD and ADHD are NOT real conditions. Perhaps you should change your diet and become Med free, it may surprise you to see what you have been missing "emotionally that is". Peace bro... Oh go ahead and check out my profile i'm a student too 'of life that is' re; this class a
