you when you go to a major stone circle and you get that welcoming glowing awe inspiring feeling right through your body, mind soul and spirit? this song gives me that!! i just wanna throw my arms open and soak it all up!
but it is an amazing feeling!! i mean, there's one literally a 5 minute drive away from my house (only a minor stone circle, but still) and the energy is just incredible!!!! why don't people appreciate ley lines for what they are instead of ignoring them??!! i mean, i'm at least aware that they're there, and i'm only 17!!
and the best recording they did of this has to be on the best live:headlights white lights and black tar rivers album.
@hanga73 and you man!! i SO want to go to men an tol though!! and the thing is that the energy that's there he said is phenomenol!!!! once my uncle and i were metal detecting about 400 yards or so from a stone circle called mitchell's fold in shropshire, only about 10 miles from my home, and just out of interest we decided to douse for anything. so whilst he was on the metal detector, i just sat, and kind of meditated, asking the earth if there was anything worth finding.
he got a hunch, but we didn't get anything. however, when i did it, i picked up a real strong vibe fat about 1 o'clock from the direction i was facing, and i said, check out this direction. nothing came up, but sure enough, when i moved around the other side of this bank, there was mitchell's fold! i knew it was nearby, but i wasn't sure exactly where. so we made our way to the circle, just for a nosey about, and i found an alignment, pointing EXACTLY to where i was!! that's my proof anyway.
I know exactly what u talk about - may sound silly, but sometimes I hear the wind and the water talking...I used to live in a small town with a huge open field nearby....there was a tree, a pine to which I felt somehow related to. I went there over and over again, as if it called me..I can't explain the feeling, but felt it even after moving out of there and visiting back after a while.
there I watched an eagle floating high up in the sky - and I thought: that's the best thing ever and it costs nothing but to be open and able to appreciate - this is something most people wouldn't understand, but I'm quite sure people who built those ancient sites knew well what this is all about
i know!! REALLY want to go there, badly. when i pass my test (only 17) that's gonna be one of my road trips. might save up and do a massive trip around the UK around the neolithic monuments
Wow!!!

I'm sure we're not alone with this
I saw a few of these old stones made by people who were one with the world around...
haven't seen Men-an-Tol yet though, but when I hear this song and close my eyes, I feel like I was there with face against the rain
I think there is something ancient in all of us connecting us both with nature and our ancestors
some feel it and like it some fear it and hide it - but it's undeniably there
keep your treasures and have a great new year!

Have to say that Orkney's a good one for old monuments and stone circles.
