@RTO70, thanks for the info. Since I didn't know about these guys before, I won't bemoan the fact that they aren't performing anymore. Thank goodness for YouTube though. Such a rich resource . . . Like your Vietnam piece at your site too.
@dogloverlcp not in a very long time...don't know the exact date, (early 90s perhaps?)...but the big money didn't come as fast as expected, so it ended. This is a KILLER version of this song by the way..kudos for someone posting this one
The greatest understatement in history -- Eddie saying "That's a good job there." at the end. The crowd's brief pause, and thunderous applause just says it all. The absolute most emotive version of this song ever recorded. It just rips the tears out of you.
@eneze5 I gave you a thumbs up, and while I personally like Keith Whitley and Ricky Skaggs' version better, I honestly cannot argue with you claiming this one is best. No doubts, if I grew up on this one, it would be my choice. The only thing my father left me when he passed away was a love for bluegrass, so I find myself preferring the older stuff I learned from him.. right or wrong, it is what it is.
These boys were great bluegrass musicians. I totally agree with johnpd4419.

I request this song every time I see Dudley live. One of the all-time great voices in bluegrass. Thanks so much.

As Eddie himself would say on his radio show-"Are there any questions?..there better not be, if so, give me a call & we'll talk about it."
