They started questioning me about how I know him,how I can identify him,and did I feel comfortable saying it was for sure Joseph Smith.Also ALOT of the ppl he worked with called in to identify him.He WAS at one time a family friend that hung out with us and he also did our tattoos.Unfortunitley we were unaware of his criminal backround.Which we didnt meet him til around 1995 and he came from NY.Im very THANKFUL I was part of his capture,but WISH it didnt have the horrible outcome.RIP CARLIE....

First off I want to tell you how deepley SORRY Iam for the lose of such a young BEAUTIFUL girl.I did not personally know Carlie or her family but I was a BIG part in the capture of the MONSTER Joe Smith.I still remember that awful day by getting a phone call from my ex husband telling me to watch the news and LOOK very closely at the video that showed the kidnapping and see if I recognize who he was.Right away I knew who it was and called the TIPS line.Next thing I knew the FBI was at my house.
