If you have a Bible please consult it because no where does it say that Cain was cursed with a dark skin! I find it almost amusing how some people believe they can find salvation by being a member of a 501(c)3 corporation, sometimes referred to as "churches". I don't get it. Nowhere in Scripture does Christ order his adherents to become a member of any religious denomination. IMO, only Christ can save a person's soul, not a corporate church.

There are many, thousands of different churchs now. They all teach different doctrines. Christ taught ONE.

We also have numerous statutes, and ordinances, some of which are dietary laws for good health. I agree. There are many churchs and denominations that are corrupted and many pastors get rich off of their congregations. why do pastors even get paid? if they believe that they are doing Gods work then they should be doing it out of their own free will without getting money.

The Bible says that you are saved by grace ALONE. Mormon doctrine says that you are saved by your WORKS. Salvation is a gift from God - paid for by Christ's suffering and death on the cross. Mormon doctrine says: "no thanks, I'll save myself by my own good works".
I would encourage you to pray, read and diligently study your Bible. Put the mormon literature away for awhile and just read and meditate on what God has already said.

We are being saved from physical death thru the atonmnt nd resurrection of Christ.He sufferd for those who repent of their sins and them Only.All others who die without repenting of their sins Must suffer themselves for their own sins.Hope this helps.

Jesus said that the wicked would go away to eternal punishment in hell. (Matthew 25:31-46) The Bible describes hell as the second death. I find that the church answers my questions about life, and gives us a set of gospel principles to live by. It helps us learn and grow spiritually. And we have additional scripture, The Book of Mormon and other latter-day revelation that helps shed light on the more difficult-to-understand passages in the Bible. It really does help.

The scriptures talk abou His church spreading all over the world. Each nonLDS church is its separate little church. Baptist churches are not part of each other. The Roman Catholic Church is far larger than the Mormons, the Greek Orthodox Church is a single, and very large church, and both trace their founding to the Apostles and Jesus. Many Babtist churches belong to the Babtist Congress even tho each individual physical church is run indipendantly.
I think you need to get a copy of the Douay-Rheims Bible, or a protestant king James, and re-read Isiah 29...

No, the only people to ever be cursed were the black people and that had nothing to do with their skin. Cain was turned black (read the Bible) and his descendants became black. They were cursed because of being descendants of Cain, not the skin color.

There may be some out there and people may have had some personal experiences that I have not. But each time I have asked it is a very weak evidence indeed. If you have a Bible please consult it because no where does it say that Cain was cursed with a dark skin! It says that Cain was marked, or, alternatively, "appointed a sign for Cain"; but no where does it mention a dark skin. Don't impose Lds teaching on the Bible.

I find it almost amusing how some people believe they can find salvation by being a member of a 501(c)3 corporation, sometimes referred to as "churches". I don't get it. Nowhere in Scripture does Christ order his adherents to become a member of any religious denomination. IMO, only Christ can save a person's soul, not a corporate church.

He called seventy disciples to go on missions. (Luke 10:1-24) He taught a specific doctine for his followers to live by. His religous denomination was the one and true Kingdom of God on earth.
There are many, thousands of different churchs now. They all teach different doctrines. Christ taught ONE.

We also have numerous statutes, and ordinances, some of which are dietary laws for good health. If these churches were having a positive effect on their congregants, I don't think we'd be in a world of chaos, and mayhem today. Just my thoughts.

Christ never stuck money in the apostles pockets to do missionary work and to preach the gospel. The apostles taught and did the will of the savior out of selfless sacrifice and service to jesus.

If you don't like a church, you can leave, but if you're LDS, you have to do a lot of work followed by visitation from missionaries who will try to talk you out of it and threaten you with outer darkness. lots of red tape to deal with in trying to escape. Also have to look at the history of racism in LDS.

The Bible says that you are saved by grace ALONE. Mormon doctrine says that you are saved by your WORKS. Salvation is a gift from God - paid for by Christ's suffering and death on the cross. Mormon doctrine says: "no thanks, I'll save myself by my own good works".
I would encourage you to pray, read and diligently study your Bible. Put the mormon literature away for awhile and just read and meditate on what God has already said.

I find that the church answers my questions about life, and gives us a set of gospel principles to live by. It helps us learn and grow spiritually. And we have additional scripture, The Book of Mormon and other latter-day revelation that helps shed light on the more difficult-to-understand passages in the Bible. It really does help.

The scriptures talk abou His church spreading all over the world. Each nonLDS church is its separate little church. Baptist churches are not part of each other. How many members do each of those churches have? How many members does the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints have? I think the numbers tell which is His church. I'm proud to be a member of Christ's church. For those that don't believe in the Book of Mormon, read Isaiah 29. The whole chapter talks about the golden plates/BoM.

@majinish - not that the amount of members really means anything, but you're wrong. The Roman Catholic Church is far larger than the Mormons, the Greek Orthodox Church is a single, and very large church, and both trace their founding to the Apostles and Jesus. Many Babtist churches belong to the Babtist Congress even tho each individual physical church is run indipendantly.
I think you need to get a copy of the Douay-Rheims Bible, or a protestant king James, and re-read Isiah 29...

No, the only people to ever be cursed were the black people and that had nothing to do with their skin. Cain was turned black (read the Bible) and his descendants became black. They were cursed because of being descendants of Cain, not the skin color.

A "stick" in Hebrew is a stone tablet that people would write on. it's been well documented that people in ancient times would write on thin plates. where did they come from? the tablets were carved into thin plates. the plates could have been any material but these were gold & brass. the bible & BoM support each other fully

There may be some out there and people may have had some personal experiences that I have not. But each time I have asked it is a very weak evidence indeed.
