PreSonus Control Console for the FireStudio

can some1 please tell me why we should use this Control Console for monitoring??

I usually just make sends in my pro tools sessions to an Aux track and set that track's output to the headphone amp... seems alot easyer to me!

im kinda new with stuff like this... some1 please explain why all these kind of video's tell you to use the Presonus mixer instead of just simple sends in your daw

read the book that comes with your presonus it has a description with picture on how to set up for a live recording you only need 4 mic's on the drums as it say's that in the book set up the noise gate in the recording program and everything sounds fine for a live take

u can get another firestudio and daisy chain it up then you'll get 16 pre amp inputs.if your drummer's pre amps snatcher then you should consider buying 2 of this.but for home usage like laying 2 tracks ata time one console is enough i guess.

You don't have to get another firestudio. you only have to get an ADAT mic preamp. Then you can cet upto 24 channels. I rekomend the Digimax D8. I'v used it alot, and I love It. Really easy setup to. And if you need nore than 24 mic preamps, u can get upto 3 Firestudios + 16 ADAT channels, That Should work for the most of uss.

so can the FireStudio be used to record a whole band , say my friends and me ? all at once , even tho it has just 8 mic preamps :/ ?

cause all the 8 pre's will be used for drums only :/

i'm confused...or do i need an interface with 10 mic preamps ?

u'll need a digimax to connect to the firestudio if u want extra preamps. I have got mine set-up like this and it works perfectly.

you can record at diff. times though so record your guitar then put that in you rdrummers ears then let him record to that
