@XxSpiderDoctorxX or your cable doesnt support audio, or your monitor doesnt support audio.. try to turn on your monitor, and then with your ps3 turned off, press and hold the on button on the ps3 until you hear a couple of beeps (5 -7 secs) and your ps3 will send you to the video/audio configurator, use automatic for everything.. if that doesnt work is because the cable or the monitor doesnt support audio through an hdmi cable

Okay what u did is that ur monitor is sort of a tv because it is NOT A MONITOR. the difference between a monitor is that it dosent have speakers but your monitor has speakers so its a tv. So it configures the sound. The reason that it dosent work for me because the ps3 sends video and audio in 1 port so the monitor dosent read that even thought i have a hdmi in my monitor it still dosent work
