to be honest i havent seen the movie, but i have read northern lights and i am half way through subtle knife. i think the cting fom lyra was awful. she is conceived in the books to be much more powerful figure and even more intimidating, but in the movie, well, she was neither. was she laughing as well? really bad acting in my view. by the way i have conceived this view from trailers and movie clips alone.
